Hello all. I hope you guys had a wonderful holiday with your families and for you lucky ones even your sailors. I happened to be one of those lucky girls. He came home for 14 days and I loved having him here. I had to take him to the airport very early this morning and he almost missed his flight because he proposed to me at the airport! :-) Now I'm in wedding mode and my mind in going 100 miles a minute. lol. But I'm excited and happy. Anyways, I hope you all had a safe and fun Christmas and New Year. Happy 2011 everyone.

He does look happy teacher!  Our sailor spent 10 wonderful days with us...back to FL last Sunday.  It sure went by quick!  It is a chilly 27 degrees here in So. Calif....I am about an hour south of Los Angeles so weird to see these kind of temps. Hope you are all staying warm and dry!  Be safe over the New Years weekend!

That is awesome Jessica, so glad you will get to live together during his c-school. My sailor finally got her car out of the driveway today, with the help of a 4X4 lol. So is on her way back to VA. So glad we got a few extra days with her. And very happy the snow came on Christmas day instead of the day before.

He loves his job not very happy the way people work there though coming in late and some not come in at all went to visit and tour the place and his Chief said he is the best working man he has got and is qualified to do more things than the people who have been there for a year.. so proud of him...  He's talking about giving him E-2 so im excited to see...

We went on an adventure in the snow a couple days ago and my stepdaughter got hit in the head by some snow falling off a tree. She swore one of
us was throwing snowballs at her lol. There is just something special
about snow in the Mountains. Here are a few pics I took on Sunday.

Hi everyone...Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, um...Happy Winter soltice...LOL...Happy Everything, I think that covers it!  The happiest of the new year coming to all of us!

This Christmas, we had the honor of a Marine vet and his young daughter spending Christmas day with us.  It seems, that he and his daughter currently live in a shelter so having them in our home and enjoying the company was very special.  He has had it hard being a single father raising this little girl on his own.  He was injured and is now disabled making things quite hard for them.  We keep each other in our thoughts and prayers here, so, I was hoping that you all can leave a bit of room there, for this family.  I do believe in the power of prayers and positive energy and Lord knows, we have an abundance of that!

Hope everyone is enjoying this special time of the year..take care!

Great news, Lala!  I keep hoping mine is playing a trick on me, He won't be leaving PCola until after the new year to go to his duty station and C school.  He was told that the flight prices doubled and the Navy just like civilian do not want to pay that much. So we will get to start the New Year with a two week visit from him.  He has a couple of buddies that stayed as well, so for Christmas they are just going to go to Church and than hang out, the hanging out part makes me sad......We'll be keeping the tree up longer than normal this year.  Hoping you all have a Wonderful Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
