I believe what my sailor said a couple days ago is he will have E-4 after A-school but I'll have to ask him to remind me what he said....this brain just doesn't hold as much as it used to!

Has anybodys sailor made it to E-4 yet? Please say so whenever they get there, I also think that its a cool thing to keep track of.

Teachertoo, did your son enlist for 6 years originally?
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on October 17, 2010 at 8:27am
It is crazy har far apart they all are now, some still waiting for a-school....that's crazy to make them wait this long. My sailor has about a 3 month wait for c-school and that is crazy too. Don't they know that you can't put a female with a car in a town with a mall and not give her a way to spend her time other than shopping? lol. At this rate by the time they have finished with all the training they will be 1/2 way through with their first tour of enlistment. It is so good to hear what everyone is doing. I wonder how it is going for some of the others we haven't heard from in a white. I do miss the nightly chats with you all. My youngest son said last night that since the Coastguard (always his dream) is so hard to get into and the waiting list is so long he is now thinking about the Navy. I just don't know if I can do it all again.

My sailor is still waiting to class up for A school in Pensacola. I feel like they have forgotten about him. haha We are going down to see him and to see Blue Angels in November. Seems really funny how our sailors were just in Bootcamp and now they are all over the place.

My boyfriend Rory finished ATT classes today at NAS Pensacola. He should be going over to Corry Station down the street in the next couple days for A school. No word on when A school classes start but it sure is frustrating him that he doesn't know yet!

Hi everyone. I want to let you know the "Emma" ( who was in our PIR group) was in a car accident last week and was banged up quiet a bit. Some broken bones. Please say a prayer for her that she will have a quick recovery.I hope everyone else is doing well. Chris is still in ATT and hopes to graduate the first of Nov. Then off to A school. After A school he has C school so it is still awhile before he will get to his first Duty Station. If you are in the Atlanta area this week or the weekend Navy week is going on.It has been a fun and enlightening time. The Blue Angels are at the air show this weekend.Congratulations to all our sailors. I'm very proud of all of them.I enjoy reading of their accomplishment.Michimom I am also happy to hear that your son is doing well and is now into his A school. My best to you all.

I got my Blue Star Flag yesterday and it's now hanging in my front window. So proud and happy to be able to display it. It's smaller than I thought it would be--I'm not complaining, just commenting. Its size somehow makes it cute. :)

I agree, it is so cool hearing what everyone is doing. If anyone's sailor is in or is going to Oceana or even Norfolk let me know. :-)

He's doing well. Plus he loves being in the navy. He had wanted C school in Bethesda, Maryland, but that got snatched up. Second choice was Japan, so we're all really happy. Let me know what your son ends up pulling!
