Thanks, Lala. No, I haven't added any N4M moms on my FB page yet--just hadn't gotten around to it. (I'm not snubbing anyone, really!)

Hey, me hearties,

Arrrr! It’s time for me to blabber to me mates on ye olde USS Sash Sistahs, here on Talk Like a Pirate Day. I cast me eye on ye olde Facebook to get some help with the lingo. (Those of you on FB, cast yer eyes on the lower left hand corner to adjust the tongue ye be speakin’ in—choose English, Pirate Speak.)

FYI, those of you who may have a fancy, set yer sights on my handsome sailor on my page. (Cannot for the life o' me figger out how to post a portrait here! Mayday!)

Ye scalawags be enjoying this day!

So the choices for bases they were given in the beginning is an indicator? All of Dustin's were based here in the U.S.

Has anyone ordered their free Blue Star Flag to hang in your window at home? It is available for free to anyone who has a son or daughter serving active duty in the military. I ordered one about 3 or 4 weeks ago and it came today. It is now hanging proudly in my living room window on the front of my home. Here is the link:

Allyson- I am so glad you had a good time. I love Pensacola. I hope you went to the museum and lighthouse. We did the ghost tour of the lighthouse when we were there a couple weeks ago, lol. It was fun. And the beach was awesome.

This is what I understood from what my boyfriend told me. They do not station married couples in Japan or overseas for their first duty station. However, they will place single sailors with no criminal records or anything like that and married sailors on their 2nd, 3rd, etc duty station. If he is married before they get their orders, they can relocate the wife and children there. Obviously, some countries are not safe to relocate family because of the political environment or what not (I forgot which ones he said). Also if he is stationed over seas and you are not married or are family, you may visit him on a visa. However, i believe you can only stay for a period of 90 days and have to return for about a month (not 100% on the length).

Just got home yesterday from a 7 day trip to Pensacola to visit my boyfriend Rory. I had a wonderful time! The base is enormous and very pretty. It was very hard to leave him and come home, but the trip was so worth it!
