Alex is having a torrid romance with his computer. I'm so happy she is the only girl in his life!

Yeah, she knows we are planning to come and she will have to check us in to stay at the gateway Inn. Not 100% sure we are going but we have the reservation just in case. I was surprised we could get one for a holiday weekend. And I have no idea about permission. If they don't have to have permission they should have to lol. I think it should be a new rule. And what about a marriage licenses? Don't you have to have that as well? I talked to her for a while this afternoon. It seems that I am not the only one trying to give her advice and saying they should wait. I guess she is hearing it from everyone.... and you would think that she would maybe listen with everyone she knows saying the same thing but No! It just upsets her and she says no one knows what is best for them. She did say that they are not planning on getting married for a while. I hope she is telling me the truth. I told her that no matter when she does it or if I think she is ready or not, no matter what I want to be there and I would be heart broken if she did it without telling me first so I could be there. Hopefully she will at least listen to that. They say 75% all all new military people who are not married get married shortly after bootcamp and more that 85% of those get divorced... :(

Lala- Don't they have to have all kinds of permission to be able to get married while in school and before he goes to bootcamp? I don't think they can just do it, maye they can but I think I red that they have to have some kind of special permission and with him just going into bootcamp and in the dep program, they might get into trouble.
Rus thinks he is going to get his chit...he is planning on driving his car back to Pensacola..
Does your Sailor know your coming because I think she will have to check you into the motel.

I know what you mean, and I booked it myself just have to give them her name and rank. She won't be phase 3 until a couple days after that weekend

Lala-I have to wait and see when my hubby can take off work so I dont know the exact days yet..Thank you for letting me know...As soon as I find out I will let you know. Can you book them yourself or does your sailor have to do it?
Comment by Bobbi Ray on August 25, 2010 at 1:47pm
Thats exactly what I would do. Do you know if she will be Phase 3 before Labor Day Weekend? If you can just get past that weekend, you can rest for awhile because they will be apart and who knows what can happen in that time. You can't stop them from getting married if thats what they really want to do, but maybe they won't do it over that weekend, and get to know each other better over the time he is in Bootcamp and A school. They have plenty of time ahead of them.

Bobbi- I just made reservations at the navy Gateway Inn, 47 per night suites are 56, you can cancel up until the day after you arrive, they didn't have any left for the 3-6 at the Navy Lodge so if i were you I would go ahead and book one just in case he doesn't get the chit
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on August 25, 2010 at 1:31pm
yeah, I am thinking about doing it. It was my plan to go anyway. I just think I need to be there just in case. Let me know if he gets it or not. If we are both there maybe we can go to dinner one night or something.

Yes..Rus is there...He put in a Chit to come home for Labor Day, but if he doesn't get it we are going to Pensacola to spend it with him... Gosh that is very scary...I think if I was you I might be like.... Surprise...Mom is here for the weedend to.

Yeah, he is leaving for boot camp on Tuesday after labor day. I just hope and pray they don't get married while he is there for the weekend. She does want a big wedding but I just have this weird feeling in my stomach. Is your son at NAS?
