She didn't get her chit? mine put in for 1 to but I hadn't asked if he had gotten his. He was gonna fly home and get his car also. Is she at phase 3 already? Rus is about there, They should get there about the same time, I think. She hasn't classed up yet for her AO classes? I don't think he has heard anything about his AE classes. Maybe it is the moving them around...I guess the have to get used to that. Everybody tells them to many different things and they bank on it and then get moved and then someone else tells them something different and again and again...the would scare the heck out of me to..

yeah, I hate it too. I wonder if this is a normal thing for this stage of A school. I was planning on going to see her for labor day weekend but she says she would rather come home the next weekend herself. I wish she had gotten the CHIT for Labor day weekend and was coming home then, she would have had more time. It soulds like going to see them doesn't stop the home sickness. :(

Hi girls, My sailor is really homesick also..what the heck is going on? We went up last weekend hoping that would help him and his girl is up this week, he is doing great in his ATT classes, but he is just so danged homesick or lonesome or something...I thought seeing him may have made him feel worse but your kids are feeling the same way. I hate it...

Hi Lala...I really felt my sailor was a bit more homesick this past weekend then I have heard him be in a long time. He says it's hard to make friends when they are there one minute and gone another. He has visitors going on Sept. 10 and then we well be there in November and then, hopefully, he'll be home a bit a Christmas, but I totally understand the homesickness!

Hi Ladies, My sailor is very homesick :( She is to the point she is looking at prices to fly home on a Friday and go back on Sunday. She says she is going to put in a request for leave to come home the weekend after labor day. She will be phase 3 by then. I asked her if she really wanted to spend a couple hundred bucks for basically one day at home and she said don't bust my bubble I would pay that for 2 hours at home. That sounds a lot like me about PIR don't ya think? lol

Hey everybody! Hope your summer is not as hot as South Mississippi. My prayers are with you Ruthann. You will feel so much better after the operation.
Michimom, the pride & joy u feel on PIR day will make the wait so worth it! Bookworms! I love to read, however, finding it hard to take time to do it :(

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It is quiet here, all the kids are gone for the weekend. It is raining again.... That's why we call this Rainsylvania county instead of Transylvania county. lol, one of only 2 places in the Cont US that has enough rainfall to be considered a tropical rain forest. But just enough summer rain makes for very beautiful fall colors. :)

Michimom, that is awesome. I know you are excited to finally see him. It is funny how many new sailors offer to pay for things. My daughters bank account must have freaked when it got those first 2 checks. It had never seen more than 100 bucks before lol.

rorysmom- I have been thinking about getting a Kindle for a couple years now. I love that you can see the pages even in sunlight. I have been putting it off waiting on the prices to come down. Hopefully around Christmas the prices will drop. Remember when Video cameras forst came out? My mom paid $1200.00 for a huge RCA camcorder lol. Now you can get much better ones for less than $100.00. Microwaves for the same way lol. So if I am patient the prices will drop :)

Maybe we should all get together and start an online book club where we each read the same book and then we can talk about it... just a thought :)
