ksmom....you know, I have to say, that the traits your son has been instilled with are just so admirable...I really love the fact that he would like to "take care" of his girl....I know this is NOT what you want, I am fearful as well....but, you know? Maybe, just maybe with his great intentions, MAYBE this will be OK. I am sorry that they do not see, that they have alientated YOU, the mother and that makes it really hard for this girl in the future.

I am sorry things are going this way, I was hoping for a moment of clarity from his point of view...but these poor young sailors feel like their significant others will not wait for their world to settle down enough, so they jump the gun...and it does not help when these S/O give them ultimatums...ugggh!

I still hope that he gets a good dose of "cold feet", lol...but it sounds like, this is going to happen...I wish them ALL the best luck, I wish YOU all the best for this to work out and some day, you all will be family...

teachertoo, San Diego is a great place to be stationed...we had the best years while being stationed there...still can remember the park in Bonita where I would take my dog for a run...and dog beach and old town and horton plaza! this was about 25 yrs ago, so I am sure things have changed but what a great place! weather was great...if there was a clound in the sky, the local people would call it a bad day! coming from new england, I was amazed at that! lol

JUst got done talking with the boy on Skype. That was absolutely great! If only the free version was just a little more on cue instead of the slight delay. but my boy was soooo cute in his little room with his little uniform on!

Rorysmom, you and your hubby really need to make a road trip to New Port Richey FL lol. The guys can fix the truck and you and I will take a drive (7 hours lol) to Pensacola. :)

Love the pic Lala! Must be so proud. So sorry about the truck...my husband is an auto mechanic and he just feels so bad when peoples vehicles have problems while on vacation!
gigi...luckily, my son's girlfriend works at Express so she got 45% off of them on Sunday! That helps offset my post office costs to send him this stuff!
Stay cool, everyone!

hi everyone, just checking in to see how everyone is doing. We have had all kinds of bad luck. The truck is messed up and going to go in the shop tomorrow. Pray it is very inexpensive to fix. The pool is not quit as hot today, maybe last nights rain helped wit that :). My oldest son graduated from Massage Therapy School. I attached a pic of him with his girlfriend. I hope everyone is having a great week.
