Lynne and Lala--when I was at basic training, if you fell asleep during lecture, the instructors sent you to the back of the room to stand and attend to the lesson. If you fell asleep standing, you were moved away from the wall. there were some who still fell asleep. And people wonder why I can knock out anywhere!

Oh, oh, oh! For those who didnt catch it--the ones who fell out in formation did so because they locked their knees. Its very easy to do and you have to consciously flex your knees without showing you have done it. When you lock those knees, the blood flow stops and you keel over. Getting caught was a nice touch! Back in ole San Antonio, those airman who locked their knees hit the parade field--usually face first!

Lala..funny thqt you noticed some of these guys sleeping while at attention, years ago, my husband used to sleep during formation as well. He learned to sleep with eyes open and while standing...not sure how he did it but was amazing to see! lol

Anyone else notice that our sailors have learned to "sleep" standing up? lol I know there is no way that I got that many pictures when they blink. I would fall over, and some of them did. I will add more pics asap, gotta go now....

yeah matt's mom! I've been swiping stuff right and left for my FB albums! Just found a beautiful montage that got sent to me somehow showing our states and their capitals. It made me cry to know that is what our sailors are defending!

he may have gotten one of my compasses or his own bosun whistle! They were party favors from walmart. I made them use them so they could find themselves if they got lost!
