I am not sure my son has done this at all, the only time he has been at MEPS was for his signing. It will be interesting to see if they bring this up soon. He also leaves in March

My daughter has two recruiters because she enlisted while in college and then after graduating came home to another recruiting station. It can be frustrating especially when the previous recruiter calls to tell her she has to meet her recruiter here to go to Meps. We sit outside the recruiting station for over an hour and he doesnt show. Mean while talking to other recruiter who is trying to figure out why. After so long I needed to get to work so I took my daughter back home. Of course getting the ok from her other recruiter. She didnt get to Meps that day and now has to wait to be rescheduled. I found out it she was to be fingerprinted and to meet with investigators for her secret clearance. Thought she could get this at least behind her. Are many of your sons or daughters still waiting to finish their secret clearance process?

Hi there! My son is DEP and found out yesterday that he will be rated as an OS. Very proud and excited! I read the job description and don't quite understand the ASVAB score requirements and how they compare to the score the recruiter told us he got. I joined the June bootcamp group and the DEP group...any others?

Hey moms! I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but there's a Navy for Mom's Holiday Project page and I'm sure they would love help in getting holiday goodie bags/stockings to our sailors who will be deployed. USS Truman will be in the gulf this Christmas and we're just going to make sure our sailors have a little Christmas joy sent their way. Please check out the page and help out if you can, the deadline is Nov 1, I know it's short notice, but it's a very very worthy cause.

gcmb....for whatever reasons, A school is different for everyone. i do think the course is technically 9 weeks...but he could technically finish before, depending on the instructor. some get into classes thst finish in a month...it all depends
