Micheller-My daughter went to BC on May 18th and this is the same as Cindy said. Everything was sent home except for her Bible, small address book, little cash, debit card and a phone card. Hope this helps-Sharon

Susan,

Willette is absolutely right! My bad. I did some checking and found the following article that talked about the closing of the OS school at Dam Neck. I apologize sincerely for the erroneous information.

Susan,

I do not know if there is an OS "A" School in GL or not, but I know for sure there is one here in Virginia - at the Oceana Naval Air Station Dam Neck Annex. The classes for all Navy schools are scheduled by the Navy and the new sailors coming out of boot camp essentially get "lined up" for the classes. Some wait for a longer time, others don't wait at all.

Hi Ho!

Just joined this group today. For those of you who may not know us, Yvonne and I have a "home away form home" for servicemen and women here in Virginia Beach. Saturday evenings we get together for fun stuff like board games, mini golf (in warmer weather), and bowling. Sundays Yvonne fixes a big home cooked meal that we eat family style in the dining room.

We'd love to extend an invitation to any of your sons or daughters that might be a little homesick or feeling lonely to participate in our activities. Everything is free - we don't charge the kids anything for the activities or the food. check out our web site if you get a chance: http://openbibleministries.com to get a more complete pic of what we do. There are lots of pictures! :)

We also provide transportation to and from the base if they need it to come over.
