Son't car is on NAS near Barrack C. Is there some way I can call the base to find out. I hate for you to go to any trouble, but the pictures on the news didn't look so good.

Becky....I don't know how flooded it got but my daughter showed me a pic of several of them swimming (literally) in a flooded field near her barracks. Later that afternoon (yesterday), there were still big puddles on many paths and roads but it looked manageable.  Where is your son's car? I can text or call her today and find out. She's at Corry though, not the main NAS.

Does anyone know if NAS PNS flooded last night? Son's car is there, but he is in SERE and doesn't know about the floods in Pensacola. Any info will be helpful. Thanks.

Talked to my son last night.  His orders said he was to start school on Tues.  But he said that's not true - he's waiting to class up, not sure when or how long that will take!

Hi Everyone!  My son just had his PIR on 05/18/2012!  It was fabulous!  He's now at A school in Pensacola for Aircrewman.  He graduated as an Airman.  Yeah!  Now he starts classes on May 29.  What does he do in the mean time?  I'm sure they will keep him busy!  He's so excited to be there!  And I'm excited that I can hear from him more often than waiting on a letter or a precious phone call from GL!

HI All, I have a question regarding graduating A School for ITs at Correy Station....  Are parents able to attend? I'm flying out May 17 for my daughter's graduation on the 18th. She is staying at Correy for C School but not sure when that session begins.  What questions should I be asking her? She seems to think that I won't be able to get on base to see graduation due to the security issues..........

Hi , my son arrived in Pensacola Feb. 4th -  he is an AT...it seems there are many sailors and not enough instructors so it takes some time before they actually start their classes..my sailor was there one month or so then classed up ...  i guess it depends on their job.  Just have to have patience I guess...Pensacola is a very nice Base ....we visited our sailor there in early April.  take care

My son just arrived at Pensacola yesterday for A school to be a PR.  He texted and said it could be a long wait until he actually starts school.  He was told that he could be there up to 8 months for his 4 week training.  Anyone else hear this or have a sailor who has experienced long delays?
