FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks guys! I am not too sure where he will be working exactly yet, just on base we are pretty sure. A house would be our first choice but I'm not sure how easy it will be to find a place to rent so an apartment would be ok too.

Debbie- do you know about how far Columbia is from base?

Hey everyone!
         Awesome group! We just got stationed at Fort Meade, pretty soon we will be looking for houses. I have never even been anywhere near that area, so I was wondering if anyone knew a little about what neighborhoods would be good to live in? (safe, not too far, not to old or run down, etc.) Thanks!! :)

Haha yes I had to, There was a very creepy individual on here kept finding me even though i blocked and defreinded her so i changed the name and picture.

 

Yes I did, In May. We got married in Annapolis, took pictures around the city and on ft. meade on the lake. Beautiful day and intimate ceromony Loved it!

lol i dunno any good hotels but tell them in Annapolis only one of them needs to be present for the marriage licence, That way your son can go get it before she comes so they dont have to wait the 3 day wait period.

Thats just assuming they are short on time =] Congrats!

the building is the Visitors Center i believe, like clockard said, right before the main gate
