Tonite is my last nite with my sailor  Ive  been staying at the Annapolis NAVY lodge this week and have had a really great time.   The Navy lodge is very convenient to both DC, and Baltimore and we spent time in both those cities as well as some nites out nearer Ft Meade so that my son could introduce me to his ship mates.   The room in the lodge has a full kitchen - two burner stove, fridge, small freezer, sink and microwave - no oven.  Also a toaster, pots and pans, utensils, dinnerware, etc.  So it was convenient.  Very clean and the holiday rate I got was $59 a nite.   Annapolis is a beautiful town and it is fun just walking around the town looking at all the shops and the boats in the marina

Of course Im dreading saying goodbye tomorrow morning but that never ends   Happy New Year everyone

Hope everyone had a nice holiday.  My house was full, now almost empty again. Last Navy child leaves Saturday.  Our Christmas was hectic trying to accommodate everyone's schedule. Everything came together well though.  Still trying to pick up the tons of mess left behind.  I hadn't seen so many gifts since my kids were little.

Thanks Clockard.  He used his best judgement. Got home last night. My house is almost full again.  :)

Sorry Clockard, I haven't been on since Friday. I'm positive he has no leave.  He used it to come home after A school and is waiting for the Darn recruiter to get the paper work in so he get's the 5 days back.  Oh and I just checked the mileage it's 364 miles. depending on what route he takes.  Crap (sorry) now what?

Yep your sailor needs to be there when you check in and show his id.  The only navy lodge this doesnt apply to is the one in great lakes or so Ive been told   and clockard we'll have a wild party but we'll clean up the evidence!

Comment by Angie (Dan's Mom) on December 16, 2011 at 2:08pm

The rate I got for the NAVY lodge was $59 for two queen beds and a full size kitchen and they are pet friendly  There is a $50 extra pet fee but that beats boarding our dog   and yes I'll have a full report when I come back!  While this is the first Christmas Ive ever spent with out my only child being there that week (for both his bday 12/29 and New Year's Eve ) will kinda make up LOL

I stayed at the Army lodging on base at Ft Meade and while nothing fancy, it was definitely adequate and more then reasonable.
