I got a letter today from my SR, and I'm a little confused.

This past Sunday via phone, my son asked me to ask his Dad/StepMom if one of them would give up their seat to allow his older brother to go in, who would have been waiting at visitors center.

They get 4 guest for PIR, but we had 5 people going. And the debate of which one will wait at visitor center.

Todays letter he said he just found out that they will get tickets to give to who he wants at graduation. Does this mean he will have more than 4 tickets?

Or that he will pick which 4 that will go in? Forgoing the Names on his access card.

Anyone know? He also said he has been hearing they may only be graduating with 7 Divisiions, instead of 15 Divisions, so more than 4 of us will get to go in. Anyone else hear anything?

Thanks

Janie

They will only be graduating 7 divisions for your PIR.  There were 8 divisions in my son's group.  Your SR did have to name 4 people for the graduation on the "formal" letter you got.  My son had only filled in mine and his dad's name.  He "gave" the other 2 blanks to SR's who had more than 4 people coming for PIR.  What my son didn't know, was we were flying his sister up and surprising him for PIR.  When we got to the check in and we had to show our ID's.  The woman found my name and my husbands.  I told her "You won't find the other name as she is a surprise for her brother".  She smiled and said Welcome and hope you really surprise him!  So there was no waiting for her to see that all with names on the list was seated.  I guess with the bigger graduations, she would have had to wait - but as they have seating for 16 divisions and there were only 8 in ours and 7 in yours SR's.  There should be plenty of seating for everyone!  Good luck!  I know it's confusing, but there is a method to their madness and it makes sense once you've been through it!  I've probably made this as clear as mud!

my husband is in the same division and he told me that he got extra tickets too. I was a little confused myself.

Janie - I do know that we have a smaller group for PIR, so I would expect that the ticket situation would be fine.

Thanks for the info. I didnt realize how many were actually going to his PIR. I hope we all get to go, but we know it may only be 4 of 8 may only get in,

Is everyone getting excited to see our SR's? I cant wait to see my son, and hopefully meet some of you nice people that have become my friends these last 8 weeks. Hope everyone have a safe, and nice trip there.

Yes im getting very excited. To see them ...and yes my amanda said that there is room for her grandparents to go too so 2 more are coming . They tried to book the same hotel. But did not work there all booked I guess but they found one. Thank god..
