Got my first call today!!! SHIP 3 DIV 175....loved it!!! :)
Hopefully it won't cause any problems for him. Is it affecting his workouts? I have a heart murmur and they dont notice it unless i get a high fever, or really sick.
My son said their division is a good division, so maybe things will get better now that the first few tough weeks are over. :-)
Hi - Got my first letter thursday night. It sounds pretty tough, but he is taking it day by day. He was assigned Yeoman, not exactly a job he wanted (lots of paperwork)...he had to take over for another SR - but he is trying to be a trooper. They have now made him Head Yeoman (I guess he's doing a good job) - Made a few comments...he got kicked out of bathroom for taking too long a shower (20 seconds), got punished twice for facial hair - had to dry shave in middle of everyone - said no spare time at all...Said Division lost shower stalls and have to pee sitting down for punishment. We just have to keep sending good thoughts to them and hope these weeks go fast. Said his Division and brother Division are about 80 people, by 4/18 they were already down to 75. Hang in there everyone....
My son is also heading for corpsman school after basic, we got our first letter from him last week, he seemed to be upbeat about most things...except for lack of sleep. Can't wait for a phone call.
yes, according to the recruiter he will be going to San Antonio for 14 weeks.
No call yet....and we are close to beginning of alphabet. I heard it goes that way....but who knows?! I am very anxious too, only had one letter. Hope we all get calls tonight!!
