Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Carol~I'll be happy to chip in on the ones that might not be able to afford to help. I can buy some extra items or I can give some extra money. Just let me know what you think is best.

I'm ready to go shopping!!!

Me too...can buy extra or contribute to a fund. Would love all to be included who want to.
Yeah jvptxmom, I am all about shopping for goofy stuff, candy and treats. Let's go !
me too!! I will help where I can and the weekend prior to Thanksgiving should work!  Being the host you should be able to pick date!
Ladies, I've gotta say, I'm making this up as I go along. I've only done team mom stuff, school parties, etc... So if anyone would like to give voice to any directions, I follow orders well. I like to give them better...LOL
Shuga, where are you??? Haven't heard from ya lately...
I think we're all just wingin it!!  It'll either come together or be a mess... being Sailor Moms.... I bet it all turns out fine!!
I need to check with my girls. They have a.really big homecoming banquet. Since it's a Christian private school, no dancing. I have to see what Saturday that is...anyone else have dates that might conflict with any of the first few Saturday's of NOV???
I'm going to a wedding Nov 5th...Oct. is an option once it's together we dont have to mail them right away... or it might be a nice early surprise??
We may have to look at October... I have to check with the school, but I think we have the dance thing the 2nd weekend...
@ Carol... with the fires and the uncertainty of things... should we just mail stuff to my place. My Mom can help me put things together.  We can always plan a get-to-gether later.
We should really get going if we are going to meet in OCT?  If not we can always do something else!!  :-)
Give me a date and I will be there
I am starting to keep my eye out for care package items. Will buy 31 ? Of them and a few extra In case kids know of a sailor that could really use a morale boost? Will keep following this discussion for particulars as they become more definite
