For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son says that he believes that he is friends with your son, we should friend each other so we can talk. It seems good that he is close to someone, that he can talk to there.

I sent my girl her contacts and her hair straightener. The post office also has small boxes that would help to protect them a bit.

I recieved a call tonight, it was sooo good to hear from my son, he is very sick but refuses to go to sick bay says he does not want to chance missing graduation. He says that alot of them have colds but are trying to deal with it and are helping each other out. Also he asked for his contacts and solution to be mailed to him. I guess that he will be allowed to wear them soon. I am putting them in the mail today. I cannot wait to put my arms around him. I miss him terribly.

Ok so Im kinda sad tonight. I didnt get a phone call!!! My girl did however call both her Grandmother and her boyfriend, so at least I know she is doing well. she is missing some classes but sudying hard on her own time. Glad they got a call today!!! cant wait for the "I'm a sailor" call and PIR. I want that big hug she has been promising all along. See you all in two weeks!!! I have recieved 3 letters this week though so that is keeping me informed.

I'm impressed that your daughter called her grandmother! Wow! Hope she's staying healthy-there's a lot of colds going on there.

So far she is staying healthy, kinda. She had a non painful ear infection and waited to long to get it checked out so temparally lost some hearing. So has been on meds for it and the hearing is starting to come back, so all is well. Grandma was surprised by the call too!!!

Hi there, I got a call from my son last night who is also very sick but says that he does not want to go to sick bay because he is afraid that it would affect his graduation date. He says that alot of them are sick but that they are helping each other get through it. It was good to talk to him because I missed the first phone call. Cant wait to see everyone at PIR. Hope that your daughter is doing better with her ear.

Yes sounds like many are sick including my son (sick for the 2nd time). He actually finally went to medical to get some assistance but managed to stay on fit for full duty status. I think at this point they are afraid of being set back, missing training and worse case ending up medically discharged.

Hello All!
I received another letter from my girl today and she mentioned several of your daughters!!!! Sounds like all is coming together, they passed drill which means they can now leave the ship w/o the RDC's... hahha I bet the RDC's are not far behind them. ;0 She is still enjoying it and as of the 20th they were still in week 5 (Hell Week) She gave me a list of items to send to her, which I have already sent most of the items but of course there is always something else. hahah Well just wanted to update all of you.
Hope everyone is doing well and we are no longer in the teens and quickly approaching single digits!!!!

phone call yesterday. still no letter though. last one was monday. but hey on the bright side!!! monday = printing gate passes, wednesday = single digits, friday= exactly one week til we get to see our sailors, and saturday= captains cup... lots of exciting events this week ladies. we're on the home stretch now :)))))

Someone said yesterday that we have to stick together, our loved ones have thrown us into this life whether we like it or not. LOL
