Yeah - got my form letter today and my SR was able to write me a short note on the back and sounds like he is doing well and can't wait to get through P-days and start actual training.  Looking forward to meeting other moms and supporters of SR's training with mine!

could you tell me when your recruit left? thx
He left Tuesday, the 6th.  What about yours?

Good Evening, I just finally got my account. I know I am a little late to the party. My son left on Sept 6th and is in this division. I hope to see all of you on October 28th

My stepson is in ship09/div 359. We just got word today he has to have wisdom (2) teeth removed.  He sounds very well and he is loving it along with the nice weather too. As with yours he left on the 6th too from Miami.

Yuck! Praying for a quick recovery!
Hope for a speedy recovery
09/359 -Hi, I just joined this site.  Wondering if anyone with a family member of 09/359 got a call tonight.  We got a letter from our son this past Thursday and he said they would be able to make their first call today (Sat. 9/24).  Its now 10:30 pm and no phone call.  I don't know what to think.  When he sent the letter Thursday it was dated Sept. 18 and he asked us to please write saying he was one of the only ones who hadn't gotten any mail.  I was so upset.  I had already sent him five letters and his sister had sent him a letter.   I tried calling the RTC.  They just said it takes a couple of weeks for them to get mail.  I asked her to verify the address and we had the correct address.  Now I am truely feeling helpless. For some reason he's not getting our letters and obviously we're not getting a call.
Hello fouts and welcome!!...I also have a son in 09/359 i have received a letter (2 in one) He did mention about getting to call but i havent received one yet, Knowing my son he will call his girlfriend back here...I'm sure if he did then she would call me ASAP...But so far no calls :(...I still have hope though
Hi foutsd!  I did get a letter from my son on Thursday and he didn't mention anything about getting to make a phone call.  Maybe they were hoping they would get to call.  I am starting to wonder if when he wrote his letter if he had received ours yet either because he didn't mention anything about any of the things I had sent him.  In addition to the letters I sent NCAA and NFL football scores, the season finale recap of one of his favorite shows.  I asked if he liked these and if he wanted me to keep sending them but he didn't mentioned anything about it.  I can understand your frustration especially if he is saying others in his div got some.  I guess one way to look at it is there are probably about/at least 600 SR's in our PIR group and if on average each one received 2 letters that's over 1200 letters that have to be filtered by ship and then division.  That doesn't even account for all the other SR's at RTC right now. So maybe it is just taking some time to get to him and since his writing maybe he has gotten them. Hang in there!
Hey 09/359's - Hope you all are having a great day!!

Any current updates on how 09/359 SR'S are doing?

Do not see a lot on 09/359 SR'S
We, finally heard from ours on Tuesday the 27th.  Which mad his dad really happy because it was his birthday and he said he got the best bday gift ever hearing from his son..He sounded in good spirits, he said they spend a lot of time with the nose in the books.  He misses home but has met a lot of new friends.
