No letter today....I really miss my boyfriend.
Mommie-We didn't get a letter today, hold strong, hopefully we will get our letters tomorrow.
I hope so.
I hope this is the day! May everyone have a letter in their mailbox!! :)
So far I have written and mailed approximately 23 letters to my son since he's been in basic training. I've tried to send interesting things like pics and sports stats to help him feel like he's connected to home. I've checked the mailbox every day, several TIMES a day. So the first letter from him finally arrives in the mailbox today...and its addressed...to HIS BROTHER!!! :\

If it makes you feel better, I still don't have any mail.  BOO HOO!

@ mommadukes-this made me chuckle...I had to beg my SR's 16 yr old brother for almost 2 weeks to write to him and then he managed a paragraph, he will be the one to get the most detailed and heartfelt response I am sure...hopefully your son at home shared the letter with you and you were able to feel the connection you have been missing!

No mail today.....I hope that we get something tomorrow

I got my first letter today
Me too....what a happy day! He also sent one to each of his younger brothers apologizing for being such a jerk to them!
Yes!!! Received our letter today, he loves the Navy and made lots of friends in his division.

Justin's girlfriend received her first three letters today.  I am so thankful for both of the kids and their thoughtfulness in keeping us posted on our son's well-being.  There was never a doubt in my mind that if given a choice, my son would contact his girlfriend first so I am actually excited that the letters have started and he really likes the food.
