Our letter came in yesterday! Glad to hear from our SR, but was a little disappointed to learn he wasn't on the Dec 16th PIR schedule. We received "the box" last week, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would of been. I think following the day by day boot camp activities has helped me deal with him leaving. I read it everyday 3-4 times, I guess you can say its therapeutic.

Anyone else holding their breaths???  I am so dang nervous... I have typed this thing over and over cause.... hahahaha!  I am so ready to hear from him! Sooooooo much to do this week. I am glad. Just counting down each and every day. Checking off lists- but the lists just keep growing. hahaha..

Chat later!  Just gonna try and remember to keep breathing and staying focused on other tasks. =0

YES!    Oh my word - I hope all goes well!!!   I've been praying, lighting blue candles, keeping my fingers crossed.... anything that I can think of.......

I love going on here and looking at the countdown.  It revs me up every morning to see how close PIR is getting.  Cannot wait to hear from him today.

Well ladies...battlestations is now over. We prayed, we hoped, we lit blue candles (mine is still burning), we crossed our fingers....................PLEASE let us get those phone calls this afternoon. :)

Oh please, please, please!   :)

Does anyone know what the sailors are allowed to take to A-school?  I am wondering about laptop & phone???We thought both were ok but now he is not sure if he can have either at school.

I am not sure.  I had asked on this page a while back but didn't get a response last I checked.    I am taking our son's cell phone and laptop and crossing our fingers :)

My son is actually taking leave and coming home for 6 days after PIR.  Hopefully before we take him back to Great Lakes I will know for sure.  I would think they would know exactly what they can and cannot have.

Yea - you would think..... they don't make it easy for us do they?   :)

I am getting so excited waiting for our phone call this afternoon.

Congratulations to div 023!!  My son was not able to do battle stations with his div 023.  He will be doing them tomorrow with another division.  He sounded very down about this but I am sure he will do fine tomorrow.

I am sure he will do fine, keep us posted :)
