Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I received my son's form letter yesterday letting me know he's on Ship 09 Division 024, graduation date of December 29. Would love to hear from others!

We'll I'm feelling a little embarrassed - I asked Renee where she's from (palm beach da!)  It's too early in the morning!  I think I'm still on the "I'm a Sailor" high!

palmbeachnavymom and rivermom - I know this may be a long shot but your two sons may be bunk mates.  You two need to connect and check into this.  Please let me know what you find out.  I think it would be awesome if they are. 

Too bad my son is going to Sub school in Groton, CT on Jan 9th. 

Merry Christmas Everyone.  Only 5 more days till we get to say Merry Christmas to our graduating sailors on Ship 9 division 24.  I cannot wait!

4 DAYS!!!!  It's comin fast!  I have a question.  What are we supposed to wear to graduation?  Dress clothes, slacks & shirt,

I am wearing a nice pair of jeans and a nice shirt/sweater.  It is supposed to be 32 degrees outside.  I am also not sure how long of a walk we will have from the car to where PIR is held.  I want to stay nice and warm.   Can't wait to see you guys/gals there!!!!

 

I'm wearing jeans or cordoroys & a sweater and a comfortable pair of shoes.  It's hard to believe our week has finally gotten here.  I'm baking cookies today to bring to my Sailor.

Only 24 hrs til we get to see our sailors graduate.  YEA!!!  See you girls at the meet n greet tonight.
