My son Carlos is in Ship 12 Div 204. He left Dallas/Ft Worth on May 7, 2012 for bootcamp. Doing A school there in Great Lakes as well. So far, have received his box and first form letter. Anxiously awaiting a more personal communication.

So glad to have another "shipmate" in our mom group, BirdsMom. Have you also joined the facebook group?
A couple of other moms have received a letter this week. I am anxiously waiting to get home and check my mailbox today!
Yes, I have joined the FB group also. I can't wait to get home and check the mail box. Ugh!!
I had students staying after school for detention today. Darn it. However, they just finished up, so I'll try not to be a speed-demon driving home to check the mailbox. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us!!
Hi Ladies! Now I'm going to be on pins and needles for the rest of the afternoon until I get to leave! Think I can fake denge fever or malaria to get out the door any faster?! HA! I can't express how excited I will be at PIR to meet the two of you! My SR's name is Christopher. I will ask if he knows Carlos!
Uhg. No letter. I was hoping, since we only live 4 hrs south of Chicago, that a letter would arrive today. Maybe he's having *trouble ironing and folding clothes and it eats up his "free" time.
*I don't need a crystal ball...I'm his mother; I've seen him fold clothes!!!
I think I'll have to make N4M ribbons for us all to wear to PIR so we can spot one another. LOL My son's name is Dillon, though they will all know eachother by their last names, so we better head to facebook if we want to share that info. :)
Hi all, I, too am hoping for good news when I get home! My SR's name is Michael and I can't wait until PIR. Renee, what do you teach? I teach 4th.
LaurieS,
I wear two or three hats. LOL The list includes Jr and Sr Gen. English and At-risk Advisor to the 40 lowest ranked freshmen. I'm ready for summer break!
Well, bless you for your SR and double bless you for teaching the older doobies. I'll take my little guys (and summer break too!)
We teach where we fit best. My hat is off to you! The school system couldn't pay me enough to teach elementary and middle school age kids. LOL I love my teenagers; the unmotivated as well as the inspired. :)
No letters in California today, either. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a phone call soon. I have to be careful, I could easily become addicted to this site!
My son is also Ship 12-Div 204--I am in the same boat and impatiently awaiting a letter--seems like its been a year
hopefully something will come by next week
Hi Maggie,
I was a bit teary after checking my mailbox last night. Now, I'm wishing for the weekend to fly by so I can hurry up and get to mid-week again. I live for the next milestaone on this journey! :)
Have you joined Ship 12, Div 204 (203) on facebook, yet? Hope to see you there so you can share more about your SR.
