My Sr is headed to Groton CT (hopefully). Mechanics Mate on sub. Have not idea when he will leave. He thinks he would leave quick. Lets hope not I really would like to spend some time with him.
Got me a letter today he didn't say much some of the boys havnt learned if u taddle then everyone gets in trouble I told mine to keep his head dwn don't worrie about what anyone else is doing they r looking for them to be a team not get each other in trouble. Half of my letter was wrote by a kid name Keelan he writes as bad as my son lol the boys have made good friends and I'm told they have plans for grad. Day together.lol
I got a letter today also.  My son said they are starting to come together as a group because they are tired of failing LOL.  I told him the same thing you did Heather.  Keep your head down, worry about what you are doing and let the ones that can't seem to get it together do that on their own.  I know they get in trouble as a team, but I told him to just suck it up and make sure you do what is right LOL.  He sounded good in his letter though.
Hello Ladies hope all is going well Im in much need of a call. typical Labor day BBQ and fun with my son today I went to work to keep my mind busy. 4 more weeks 4 more weeks UGGG

I'm really in need of a call too. I have not got one at all. I think he was part of the sick group that did not get to call home the time the others did. Sucks. You would think that the ones that missed calls would get make-up ones. Guess not. I'll just hope he's next letter comes quick.

I feel bad here I am complaining and u haven't even got one..sorry. my son did say his friend keelon didn't get to call because he was having a tooth pulled at the time and yes they should've let those guys call the next day or that night..what asses sorry my mouth but that's how I feel. Hope u get ur call this week.
I didn't get any letters about this yet.  I believe (I could be wrong) that anyone who was asmoed would be able to call home to let the family know.  I would say at this point that no news is good news if you haven't gotten a call about that.  I understand they can be asmoed for quite a few reasons.  Let's pray for our SRs that they just make it through this.
Ok, so now I'm a little bit more worried. I haven't heard anything from my son in a long time. I just called his recruiter, and he said that if they are asmoed, we and he would get a call. He also said that my son is still in John F Kennedy, 09/323. And if they where asmoed, their ship would change and they wouldn't be in Kennedy. I wish I could get a call or a letter. Has anyone been on the facebook site trying to win a picture of our div?

Thank you for the up dates. My son is in 09/323 and was part of the group that was sick(walking pneumonia).

We haven't received a call nor haven't heard how his doing this week; but also feel no news is good news. I'll keep you informed.

Haven't heard about the picture thing please tell more..no call no letter..hmmmm stay worried 24\7
Go to facebook, search US Navy Recruit Training Command, Like it, you can follow and ask questions of the RTC. Every Mon. they post a mixed up picture, on Tues. is a trivia question about bc. If you are the first one to identify the picture and the trivia question, they will take a picture of your SR's div and put your SR up front. That day! You can also look back at the pics that have already been taken. 323 hasn't gotten one taken yet, but im hoping that everyone will try from our div.
Thanks. Will do ;-)
