OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Well Ladies, I have to go. My daughter needs the internet. Something about homework!! I'll check back latter if I can. If not, I'm saying my prayers and lighting my blue candles for all going through BS tonight!
I look forward to reading all the posts tomorrow from all the new sailor moms!

Thanks Roycecity! Now I feel informed. I won't ask whose playing. I went to a small liberal arts college in Sherman, TX that does not have sports, so I know my alma mater is not playing!

Ok, I know I'm sports illiterate, but what is BCS? I've been wanting to ask, but was afraid.

Lovemysailor, I will admit that time is ONE thing my son is good for! He freaks if I am one second late! The closer it comes to PIR, the more I want to see him! I am so ready now, but my flight leaves Thurs. morning. I just pray for good weather! Here in Texas, we don't get a lot of snow!

Sister2SailorNick, I feel the same way. I have given my son the nickname "Flojo" which is Spanish for "Lazy" I can't wait to see him and see if I can change his nickname!
