My son didn't say his RDCs rock, but he did say that they are perfectionist, and that's why they are CNO Gold!

SailorMikesMom, my boys both say that I stay on here way to much! I guess since I have been here for over a year, they have adjusted and accepted my addiction! I'll call my son in A school and ask if he knows someone. It is amazing when I hear of friends my son has, whose mom's are here also.

HCC, I guess I can thank you for 5 words my son said while on leave last week. He went to GL in Aug. and had his first hair cut in over six years. During his leave, he looks at me and says. "I need a hair cut" I nearly fell out of my seat!
RDCs REALLY do make men and women out of boys and girls in such a short time!!! Now I look forward to seeing my next MAN on Friday!

Lisa Ann, I think the roller coaster ride gets rough at the end, but after BS, it gets better. Last time, I remember my stomach was in knots and I could not seem to get a lot of sleep. The not knowing if he passed the PFA, the final test, and if he would go to BS. The whole "Not Knowing" is SO hard.
Have faith. I know he will do well. Friday, that would be a good thing to talk about at lunch!.... "Do you know what you put your mother through?"

The RDCs DO rock! All my son talks about are his RDCs!
He is just so ready for BS, and I'm ready to see him!

For all who are leaving before the "I'm a Sailor" call. You might look into putting your home phone on "Call Forwarding" to your cell phone.
I will be in GL when I get the call, but I have only a cell phone, no home phone.

Lisa Ann, BS is tonight for 047. Good Luck! I know it will be hard to sleep.
Again, about the run, no news is good news! I remember when my other son had a hard time with the run, I called his recruiter and he said that if he failed, he would call. I remember, the whole day, I DID NOT want my phone to ring!!! I was a nervous wreck! He passed, and he has been a sailor for 81 days! I have not heard from my other son, so I can only infer that he is ready for BS tomorrow night!

Welcome to our group HCC. I received a letter today. He said that it would be his last since we will see each other on Friday. He said that the gas chamber was a "GAS" He said that it was fun. He also mentioned that 049 is CNO Gold. YEA 049!
I love getting letters and calls, but this letter was written on Friday, and he called on Sat.
He is ready for Wed. night BS.
Now for getting ready for the COLD! My prayers go to all the divisions going tonight.

B&L'sproudmomma, YIKES, and I thought my boys went in close together. My younger son had his PIR in Oct. He is still in GL for A school, so I get to see both this weekend!

B&L, that's what I have, but Thurs. I hope to have two sailors! The second one is just as nerve wracking as the first! The only difference, you know what to expect! When does your next one go in?
