Cindy, I'm glad he made it back safely. My son was suppose to go back to GL tonight, but he got to the airport and forgot his leave papers at his dad's house. He had to change his flight til tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM. At least he will still be back on base before he is listed as AWOL!

I have been gone all day, and boy did I miss a lot! I can read from my phone, but can not post. I did read about 802. Congrats!
My so call me tonight. I was very pleased. He sounded good. We were able to talk for about 10 minutes.
I asked about BS for 049. He said that they were scheduled for Wed. night. I was hoping for Tues, so I will be home when I get the call, but at least he is doing good. He said that Fire Fighting will be tomorrow for 049.
I still can't believe that we will all get together in a few days!

As far as I know you do not need anything special to print the pass, and yes they are the same. You put it on your dashboard to get in the base and to park.

EddiesWife, I stayed at the Navy Lodge last time and I left at 6:30. I made it in plenty of time. Just make sure you have a good idea where the RTC is from your hotel. I'm staying at the Merriot this time, so I will need to leave earlier this time.

I drove last time. I didn't have a problem with traffic. It moves smoothly. I liked being able to leave when we were ready and not the time when shuttle leaves.

Steph, PIR ends at about 10:35.
liberty starts as soon as you hear: "Now hear this, Now hear this... LIBERTY CAAALLL LIBERTY CAALL!!!!!" At that point everyone goes down to the floor to greet and hug their sailors!!!

Dawn, I have a Navy flag that goes on my car window. I used it last time. It helped to find a rental car in a parking lot.
I also read the 10 day forecast for GL. It said snow showers for Thurs. ans sun and cold for Friday.

I have been reading some VERY good advice. This is a dress occasion. The seats do fell up fast! I was on the lower level, and I think it was better. I always look for the spot with the best lighting for pictures. (That is my hobby) I would try to sit about half way up. The seating is tight, so carry as little as possible.
As to what time, I would try to get there as soon as the gates open. Last time, I made a trail run from the hotel to the RTC and I made it in 2 minutes, yet the morning of, it took 30 minutes.
As you arrive on base, there are a lot of people to direct traffic. Just follow the people as they point you in the correct direction. Remember, they do this 50 times a year!

No, Sandra, 049 will win! They are in a tie with 044 for the CNO Gold, so I know it will be 049. Anyone else agree with me?
GO 049!!! YEA! Raw Raw Ree!!!!!
