Sarge has a meet and greet for the families the night before PIR. He does this for every PIR and it's at his own expense. We are hoping to make baskets up and bring them that night to raffle off. This way it will help offset the money he has to put out. We were thinking of state themed baskets, ie: NJ, California etc. but what ever basket you would like to put together would be wonderful.(kitchen, bath items, coffee etc.) When you know what kind of basket you will do we can post it here and then this way keep track of what we have. I'm new to this so I hope I'm posting this the right way.

I have a roll of tickets and containers to put them in. I also picked up name tags for all of us to wear so we would know who each other was. I will talk with Sarge today and ask him if we can maybe do the raffle at the end, I wouldn't think that would be a problem. I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

Thank you for taking care of this, Alice!  I'm looking forward to meeting everyone next week.

Thank you so much, Alice!  You really have done an amazing job of picking up on the ball and I appreciate it.  So looking forward to meeting you all.  Prayers for those traveling to their PIR today.  Let's hope next week calms down a bit in the weather department.

My Husband called Sarge today and asked for a overnight address that we could send the basket to so that we do not have to travel with it.  I probably should have asked on here first to see if it was ok.  I have not sent it yet so if you are opposed to it let me know. If there is anything else I can help with let me know!!

That is a smart idea.  I sent you a PM regarding a bottle of the wine!

I will bring a Panama theme basket.   I think there is at least one Floridian covering our state.

Just wanted to thank you guys again for doing this for Sarge and his wife. I've spoken with him quite a few times over the past couple months and he is just such a nice person and will do what ever he can for you. I am so glad we're doing this. :D

I just spoke with him and asked him if we could do the baskets/totes at the end of the meet and greet incase some of us are running a little late. He said no problem.

Also I just realized I posted the suggested ticket prices from Sarge on the regular page and not here- he said usually they do:

$1.00 per ticket

$5.00 for 6 tickets

$10.00 for 12 tickets

$15.00 for 18 tickets

$20.00 for 25 tickets

So what do you guys think? I figured since he's done this for so long he'd be the best person to ask.

Sounds great!  Thank you so much for all of your organization!

Alice   I also think it sounds great!   Thanks again for heading this project.    Cannot wait to meet everyone next Thursday evening!

We will be bringing a basket as well...not sure on them yet but will let you know..our cold and snowy weather in OH has put a damper on my plans!

If things don't get moving at the airport, I very well may not be able to make it the meet and greet tonight. I am going to try my very best but at this point they do not know when we will be flying out.
