For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

My sailor call came in yesterday around 7 pm. Very proud! Congrats to all the moms/wives/girlfriends and other lows ones iin our group.
We are still up in the air about his orders. He had not received them as of last night....don't know any flight info so we can start to plan the journey home. Flexibility is not my strong point.... -

If any of ya'll were sitting at the table next to ours at Sarge's meet and greet...I apologize for my son knocking over our table and spilling a drink. He was with my two daughters while I stepped out to check on my veteran and his service dog. The feedback scared the dog and the hubby was already anxious about the crowd. I spent the rest of the night between where the kids were and where the hubby and service dog were near the back. I was very proud of the hubby for going up on stage when Sarge asked for veterans. We had to leave early because between an autistic child and a disgruntled disabled vet...MY nerves were shot!! I hope I can sleep tonight!! I am so excited!!

Wanted to say congratulations to all of the sailors and their families. I watched the PIR and cried out of pride. Even though my son was not there I felt a bond with you all and appreciate your support. I wish you all of you and your sailors the best. Stay safe.

Thank you, proudmomma94! That is so thoughtful of you! It was a wonderful moment and there were many tears in that hall. We were so glad to be able to go! Our son left for Pensacola today, and it was just so good to spend time with him. How is your son doing? It has to be good having him home! :)

I love having him home, definitely makes it easier to cope with his release for him and us! He is doing well, his back issue is not life threatening and as long as he strengthens his muscles he should be ok. He can re-enlist if he so chooses at a later date. He is now looking into schools so I have to fill out FAFSA now (yippee). All in all its all good. I just want him to know no matter what he chooses to do he has our support. Good luck to you all. So glad he is moving forward and doing well! It is great that his back is not seriously injured, and he can re-enlist at a later date if he wants!
College is a great route to go, too! I understand about FAFSA! I have to get crackin' on that before long also! My daughter graduates high school in May, and she wants to go to college in the fall. My youngest is 16, and I just can't get over how quick our babies grow up!
Good luck and blessings to you all, as well! Your son is obviously reaching for his future, and it is awesome to hear that he isn't going to let anything stop him from that! Congratulations on raising a fine, young man!
