Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 051 and 052
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

My son looked into being a submariner....he told them that he would be willing. I think that he was kind of relieved when he found out that the Navy isn't sending him that route though. I didn't realize they had to go to sub-school for that, but it definitely makes sense! It certainly sounds intense! It would be so good if your son could come home for a little bit afterwards, but yeah; no need to get excited until you actually see it! I definitely got a kick out of the "written....in blood" comment! :D
If anyone is adopting someone with the last name of G please let me know. My Fiance is DIV 051.
Sorry, whitmae, not adopting anyone with the last name of G. I wish we were able to adopt more than just 2 SR's. The last name my son gave me started with O.
Oh it's no problem! I was just curious is all. Good chance it's an organization who adopts him.
I got a letter from my son today! He is doing well. He is excited that all of us moms/GF's have found each other. He said they start working on live firing this week.
Yeah, Fireworks! So glad you heard from your son. Glad you get to spend the holidays with him. Will you be able to be at PIR too?
Yes! We have our hotel booked and we are ready to go!
So glad to hear you got a letter, and that your son is doing well! :D I am excited to hear that they start on live firing this week! Thanks for the update! Another day/week closer to PIR! :) Woo hoo!
My Fiances last name starts with a K and its a short last night. Is anyone perhaps adopting him? i got a letter from him today and it was great. He said he had to cheer a guy up who was struggling. I hope that they are doing better.
Thanks Carla, I will mention that to him in my letter. He really seemed more concerned with letting us down than anything. Can you believe that, him letting me down? How absurd!! I am so proud of him no matter what that my chest swells with pride and joy every time I think of him. I am sure he will be fine, but I still worry.
