Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 057 and 058

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is Ship 09 Division 057. So far I received one phone call and one letter. He said the guys and girls are great, the food is good, and they have warm clothing.  So happy and proud, but miss him so much.

My daughter is also Ship 09 and Division 057.  She sounded great when she called.  She said the food was not bad, but she is trying to stay away from the cookies; apparently they are good.

My boyfriend is ship 09 division 57 he left on November 13 and it haven't hear from h no letter no call no nothing , to his mom either .... I'm really hoping I get to hear from him soon Kj'smom I'm glad to hear they are warm ! When did you revive your call and your letter ? Thank you for the info!

He called last Saturday afternoon (the 23) and I got a letter yesterday.  The letter was short; he said they didn't have a lot of time to write and he was really tired.  He said everyone was getting along; lots of hard work, but very satisfying.  He said they don't know when the calls will come; they're CO just tells different recruits to go to the phones.

Thank you sooo much! i already received a call last sunday and my first letter! he told me it vas very cold and that they were covered up so thats good! i hope we get to know more from them soon but at least now i am more calm that i finally heard from him for the first time since he left :)

Delfi, Yea...I am glad you received a phone call and letter.;)

My daughter is Ship 09, Div 57. Just got a call about 15 minutes ago, and a tough one at that. She is struggling, as opposed to her very upbeat call last Saturday. I am not home, but will be tomorrow, so not sure if I have any letters waiting. Just wanted everyone to know you may get a call or may have already gotten one today. :)

My daughter is also ship 9 div 57 and said the same thing....very hard to hear, but from those that have gone thru it,they say this is normal and it will get better by week 4! Saying prayers!

IMy son is also Ship 9 Div 57. They say to get to know the other mom's in this group and I think that's a great idea but is there a way to join just that group or do we need to become friends with each member one by one? I almost always check this site via iPhone so I may not be seeing all my choices so I thought I would just start asking the question.

A bit homesick but he's said he has made some friends which I'm sure they will help to get each other through this. Hoping to be able to see him for Christmas all I want.
