Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 055 and 056

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I printed that but haven't mailed it yet keep forgetting to put it in with a letter. i got a call on the 23rd too but it was only about a min, i have not let my phone out of my site just in case another call comes i am hoping to get 1 soon

Hi Mom's,

My son is in DIV 055.  It sounds like many moms are getting calls today but it looks like from different divisions so I am hoping for a call yet this weekend.  My last call was also on Nov 23.

I have received one letter but got word last night from many family members that they received letters which makes me very very happy!

I am so so happy for this sight, reading all of your comments brings some comfort and knowing we all share the same feelings makes me feel 'less alone'.  My phone does NOT leave my sight as I don't want to miss any calls!

I love this site too. It's nice to know someone else knows how I feel. My phone too! Always charged & always on me :-)
SandraG, sounds like our son's are together. Your details mirror mine. Hoping for a call today, but not yet.
I'm assuming by your user name your son is in as a nuke? Mine too! Hope they're getting to know each other.

Awesome! Yes, it does sound like each new school will be very challenging. Well at least we know they'll never be bored! At least not for the next 2 years :-)

Hi Moms! My son is on Ship 11 Div 056. I missed his phone call on 11/13 and am still waiting to get his first real letter, so it's very frustrating. My other son (his twin) has PIR next week, 12/6/13. I was fortunate to be able to see him on Thanksgiving and wow what a handsome, polite young man. He had so many interesting stories to share. The main point, however, is that they DO get through this and they just beam with pride!

hi Mari Mom - just wanted to welcome you to the group!

Thanks Forever Proud!

So happy for you! Thanks for 'the light at the end of the tunnel' outlook. Enjoy next week!

SandraG - my experience has been almost to the letter exactly like yours. Thankfully most of our kids seem to be adjusting well. And I'm praying for those who aren't. I saw where TKs mom got an encouraging phone call, and FloridaGirl's daughter is having a bit of a rough go with her extra duties, so maybe with a little extra positive energy from everyone on N4M they can find some comfort

I agree! I am doing well so far. Miss him like crazy but not getting overwhelmed in it. I really worry about those who are struggling so hard with this. I hope this site brings everyone a little extra hope & encouragement.
