Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The Intended Guest List for PIR on your Form Letter is filled out by your Recruit. This information is for you, to let you know who they wish to invite to PIR. It may have the full names of the intended guests or simply say, “Mom, Dad, Sis, Bro.” No worries, this will be fixed later by your Recruit J

There are no tickets needed for PIR.

Your Form Letter does not gain you or those listed on it entry to PIR.

In order to enter Midway Ceremonial Drill Hall on PIR day you must be on the Access List for PIR.

Your Recruit fills out the Final Access List form. This is submitted to Security to make the main Access List for the whole TG (Training Group) for PIR day. Your Recruit is the only one authorized to do this. They will fill out this form about 7-10 days before PIR.

If you need to discuss the Access List with your Recruit please write them to coordinate. If there is a change in the intended guests (someone can’t go) please write your Recruit as soon as that happens so they have the information before they fill out the final list.

Once the final Access List is submitted to Security they cannot make changes to it.

How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?

A.

As of January 1st, 2013 Recruit Training Command will enforce the following policy:

ALL GUESTS, including Active Duty/Retired Military Personnel and those ages 3 and older must be on the access list. Children 2 and under do not need to be on the access list.

12 or less divisions within the training group: FOUR guest maximum per recruit.

13 or more divisions within the training group: THREE guest maximum per recruit.

Individuals not on the access list will NOT be able to enter the drill hall and we do NOT have a standby list. In addition please plan on arriving at least 1.5 hours before the ceremony, which begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

Graduation Day Schedule

6:30 am: RTC gate opens to guests.
7:00 am: Ceremonial drill hall doors open to guests.
8:45 am: All guests must be seated. Ceremonial drill hall doors close, no further entry for guests.
9:00 am: Pass-In-Review commences.
9:20 am: Divisions arrive.
10:30 am: Pass-In-Review concludes.

Recruits are permitted to place the names of their intended guests on the access list. Please coordinate with your Recruit as only Recruits may place names on the list. RTC can neither change these names nor release the names of those on the list. All guests 18 years and older, must present valid government issued photo identification (driver's license, state ID card, passport, military ID card). Guests 17 years or younger who do not possess one the items listed above must present one of the following:

school ID card, driver's permit, copy of their birth certificate or social security card. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS.

When will I receive tickets/passes to graduation?

There are no actual tickets or passes. Recruits list the names of up to four guests that will be included on the access list. Recruits cannot obtain additional “tickets” from other recruits.

(*NOTE - This should actually say "three or four" depending on the size of the TG.)

Q.

I am not sure I am on the access list. Can you find out and make changes if I am not?

A.

It is the recruit’s decision whom to place on the access list. Please communicate with your recruit well before the final week of training to be sure the right names are on the list. The Public Affairs Office does not have a copy of the access list as they names on the list are not divulged to the public. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation.
