I am still waiting for mine to come from my son.   His recruiter said Ship 11 Div: 038 so I am guessing this is accurate.   I have sent two letters to him with that address.   NO form letter today...I am so sad...

Snick

Well she shipped on 11-08-11 and from WA. I was beginning to wonder , so today I called her recruiter and he was going to check on it. Then sure enough it came this afternoon :)

Snickerdoodlemom - hope yours will be in tomorrows mail. There is a sense of relief in just those few words your SR writes.

My daughter is on   Ship 11 Div 038 PIR 01/13/12

Nice to meet you tymmbersmom-Have you got any letters from her yet? I am so looking forward to those. PIR is 50 days away !

Snickerdoodlemom-  Have you heard anything yet?

Hi there, My daughter is in the same division. Are you set to go to PIR?

Yes, I received my form letter yesterday.   He wrote on the back that he had 2 minutes to write...said he was fine and he would write again soon.    That's it...   :(

Snick

That is essentially what my daughter said too. Still it was nice just to see it.

Have not made arrangements for PIR yet I am not wanting to rent a car  in January, so I am divided between Naval Lodge and Residence Inn by Sarges Meet n  Greet and places to eat.

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving !

I have not got a letter yet from my SR , has anyone else?

I recieved the box, the form letter giving me her address but no call. Has any other mother recieved a call from her SR on ship 11 Div 38? I have sent four letters so far that is not like my daughter not to reply back we are very very close. I'm worried something is wrong.

tymmbersmom- We have sent 5 letters and a card so far. No we have not got a call or any letters yet from our SR. I tis hard not to think something is wrong, but the last note on the form letter said she was doing good so I will have to go with that for now. I t is very hard all this waiting around for some news from our SR's, but know you are not alone :)

Hi There, My name is Kelli. My daughter is on Ship 11 in Division 038 as well. I am very close to my daughter and I was worried because I had written every day since she left and had not received any letters from her. I did get a phone call from her on November 22nd. They needed some information emailed to one of the Commanders, I believe. She is very homesick, so that was a very hard call for us. Although, I was told in that call that she could have family in Chicago on Christmas day. I am flying to see her for Christmas. Don't worry though, I finally received 4 letters on wednesday November 30th. She is injured on LLD with plantar fasciitis is what I was told in her letters but didn't say how bad and no phone calls yet so they say "no news is good news". However, I am worried. Hope you receive your letters soon.

Kelli- In my daughters last letter she mentioned having 3 good friends now. I believe they are starting to get to understand that by supporting each other the team works better. Hope your daughters foot is healing and she is feeling better. So hard to not be able to be there with our SR's. I am happy to hear a tone of adjustment in my daughters letters. I am so very proud of what she is doing. Very cool you can go out for Christmas, we will not be able to. Hopefully my SR will get the chance to be adopted out somewhere for a Christmas Dinner. Hoping for a phone call soon for both of us :)
