OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Marcia - I am so excited for you and will certainly say a prayer for this recruit. You seem like such a nice spiritual person:)

The password is on the top of the third page of the form letter that you received around the 2nd week of bootcamp. The top of the first page says "Department of the Navy" the top of the third page says" the password for your recruit's graduation is :_____________." I hope this helps

That is a good idea but not sure how to do that.

It sounds like everyone is feeling the same as me - READY FOR PIR! We are staying at the Ramada Inn. Do you think that they will have name tags or something? I thought about bringing some. Any thoughts? I was going to wear my N4M shirt. Does anyone else have one to wear that night so we can find one another.
