Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 910
Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

I also want to say THANK YOU!! My SR will be going to Pensacola FL for A school. I am still very confused my it, I was talking with someone else and their SR has already done A school and is now headed to C School. I also asked the recruiter what his job or rate was and she said that he won't get that until he is done with BC. But she said he is prob considered airmen? (I think that is what she called him, I think I was still in a daze)!
My SR is going to A school in San Antonio! Cant wait to get the call!!!
My SR is heading to South Carolina...I think! It is so confusing but I am sure by the time we all get to the graduation we will have more info. My son told me not to be too surprised if we only had the day with him. I was hoping for at least 1-2 days but I guess that isn't going to happen...Thanks to all who make this website accessible to us!
Hello! Thank you to all responsible for setting up all of these pages; the amount of information is incredible! My SR is also going to SC for A School. From what I've read (and from what he told me, which was very little, in typical fashion lol), he will only have a day (or two) after PIR before shipping out to A School. There's so much to learn!
Hello,
my daughter is heading to Goose Creek, SC to A-school.
JAmom- all Nukes (Nuclear Power Program-your son must have scored high in the ASVAB exam) go to A school in Goose Creek, SC.
For what I read, the ones that have to fly out to A-school will most likely do so on Saturday starting around 4 am(and they start by the lowest div-I don't know where our div will land them, lol)
JAmom and minimesmom - I just read the same thing about them leaving during the early hours of Sat morning. From what I'm seeing about the current weather in CHI, they'll be thrilled to be in Goose Creek ASAP. :) I rec'd my first letter from Zach this week, and he called last Sunday. It was great hearing from him. I hope you've heard from your recruits, too.
Hello. I also got my first letter this week and heard from him on Sunday. He was able to make a quick call to his girlfriend on Friday, too. He hasn't talked to her since he left, so I am glad they were able to speak with each other even for a few minutes. Waiting and hoping I hear from him tomorrow...hope your son is able to call too!
How sad that they can't even spend a day with us but understandable. He did score pretty high, thankfully, and had to go through a lot of clearances! Hopefully it will all work out for him. I heard from my son also that he won't have a lot of time with us on Friday...:( Even a few hours is good for me. A friend of mine's son got in about 6 months ahead of my son and he was able to come home for 10 days after A School...so...I am really hoping that is the case with him too!
JAmom, that sounds like good news.
I also read in the Goose Creek site that as time passed, they earn privileges, they get time off, weekends, (if study time allows). So they can leave the base.
We have family not far from there, so for me it is reassuring that she can visit them, at least if she wants.
Hi All! My boy has gone into Cryptology and will be attending A school in Monterrey Cali. after graduation. I'm so glad to have found you all. We are from North Florida so he is FREEZING right this minute! LOL
