Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 059 and 060.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We got letters today from our daughter. She said it has been hard this past week. She said they got in trouble and she got personally called out...didn't say what for. Evidently since she is on stick, she has extra drill practice on top of the normal stuff...She said they have a lot to do though in this last couple of weeks and she said they would be very busy. We did a lot this week too. We booked our flight and hotel. We are staying at the Quality Inn. Anyone else staying there? I found that there are really good airfare deals still out there...if anyone is interested...we were flying out of DFW for only $169 + tax and fees...really cheap. Just wondering where everyone else is staying and what meet and greets everyone was planning on attending for PIR 1/18.

I;m staying at the Springhill Suites and going to Sarge's Meet and Greet. Is anyone else in this group going there?

My daughter got to call her boyfriend last night as a reward for something, I guess our next call will be after battlestations. I think they are finishing up week 5, may have done the gas chamber today... from her letters that is what I've pieced together, anyway.... Less than 2 weeks now, and we'll be seeing them at PIR! I'm so excited!

Division 059 parents, be proud!  My letter this week said that they finished hell week and it wasn't hard at all.  They passed their drill inspection, so now they can march without their their RDC's.  He said that if they keep diong this good, they'll CNO boot camp.  He says there are 4 levels (in his words): Battle Bug - you sucked, Battle E-average/good, CNO - you did good and flagged everything or almost everything, and Hall of Fame (you cheated).  lol!  The letter was written last Sunday, so according to him they should have already done the gas chamber by now.

I'm so excited for graduation!  I've already booked the hotel - Ramada - but I'm not sure about if we're going to do any meet and greets yet.  It depends on what time we get in on Thursday.  We're driving from St Louis, which isn't too bad, but it will still be a long drive and we're bringing our 84 year old grandmother.  My son really wanted to see her.  If we do a M&G, we will probably just stick to the Ramada's.  They have one too, I hear.  Anyone else going to the Ramada M&G?

My daughter is in Div 60. She said that they have been working hard, but that there is not too much more to finish but she likes to stay busy. We are staying at the Quality Inn and I am not sure which one of the meet and greets we will attend yet. We were thinking about Sarge's. I am getting really excited and really can't wait to see my daughter.

Hi, my grandson is o59, received letter from him dated 1/1 and as of that date he did not do battle stations yet so I am confused.  I will also be staying at the Ramada and attending their M&G, my name is Carol.

We are staying at the Ramada also, and not sure if able to attend the M&G as to arriving later in the evening (Flying in from FL). Not sure how Div 60 is doing didn't get a letter this week but hopeful will have one in the next few days or better yet a phone call. I'm so excited tho I got the suitcase out and ready to start packing this week, cant wait to see my niece, hug her and tell her how proud our family is of her accomplishments.

If anyone finds out when our divisions are doing battle stations, could you message me? I'd really like to know when my daughter is going through it.  Thanks!

I cannot wait to see my son.  He is in Division 059.  Anyone else staying at Navy Gateway?

Hello everyone!  I got a long letter from my daughter who is in Div. 060 yesterday and it appears that they will be doing their final PFA, written tests and Battle Stations this Thursday Jan. 10th.  She also said they have been keeping them very very busy and that Live Fire went well for her.  She still has to pass her PFA and she is most worried about that.  She had great improvment from the first to the second so I hope she will continue that trend and be able to pass. She said she does not want to get ASMO'd back two weeks. She also said that they got their divisional pictures taken and she had ordered a divisonal T-shirt.  She was talking about the front of the shirt being of a shirtless man holding an anchor and that one of the RDC's complining that it was him...not sure what that is all about. Maybe he is joking with them. I will be thinking good thoughts and send out prayers for the whole division on Thursday.

Thanks for the update, I didnt get a letter yet this week (usually get mine on Fridays) so very happy to see your post. I will be keeping my phone extra close now waiting for the phone call. Praying all went well today for everyone. Cant wait to start seeing post on here that we got the call =)

It is my understanding that tomorrow is a big day of testing (PFA, Battle Stations and written tests).  Also, I don't know if 060 did the gas chamber yet. Any updates from anyone?  Also, how soon after the testing do they find out if they passed or not?

I just got a letter from my daughter, who's in 059... she said the run and all that stuff is today and since they are brother companies, 60 would be today too.  The gas chamber is done before BS so by now that is over too... the testing is 12 hours I believe and then they should be able to call, unless they get stuck on a watch or something like that...

One week and a wake up to go~ can't wait!!!!
