Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 067 and 068.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good morning,  In my SR's last letter to us (1/1/2013) they were getting ready for Captain's Cup (Olympics) being tied for Hall of Fame. I have not spoken with my guy since Dec 18 - yes, I would love to talk to him as I have questions on stuff he wants me to bring with me to PIR. BUT- at this point I am resolve that the next time I hear his voice will be to tell me that he is a SAILOR!!!  I can hold out for that phone call. He also told me in his last letter that he has GAINED 10 lbs... muscle... He was  a rock climber and runner so he was already cut with muscles in the arms and legs - I can't imagine what he looks like now.

No call today :-( I really hope that they are doing well. I am worried because the last letter I got from my love said that he had lost his voice and that they were all extremely tired! He is extra tired because he is the LPO(Laundry Petty Officer) and has to stay up later to make sure each recruit has clean laundry and uniforms are ironed right!!! He was always the one ironing at home but I am not sure how he's handling it for almost 80 men!! lol. I am just praying they work together as a team to get through battlestations!! I feel like I want to cry when I read everyones post, I am proud of all of the guys and girls!!

My son said they earned the Athletic Flag, Scolastic Flag, and the Zone Inspection Flag. They also finished their Division Flag he said one side was for the parents(not sure what that means)....He also said that they were in the # 2 spot of their training group and still have a shot at Hall of Fame Flag.

I just got off the phone with my SR (from div 067) and he said that their division has been doing really good here lately. He also said that the reason he didn't get to call with the rest of his division on Tuesday was because he was volunteering to get his blood drawn so he finally got to make up his call today, along with a few others. : )

Hi Haley. We're u told when 067 is going thru battle stations ? I sent u a friend request sink could send a private message. My son is 067 as well :)

I am with you on that.  Where will your son/daughter be going to A school?  My son is in Ship 13 Div068 as well.

zaksmom and AjsMom:  Sorry, had to remove the posts with the last names of the SRs in them.  No last names are allowed on the site.  Sorry!

Can we say first names in these forums? Sorry about that.

Please tell me that Im not the only Mom not going to Graduation!! Anyone else out there?

No!!

PIR was very cool, full of pomp and circumstance and we are very proud of our SAILOR!

Our sailor was released about noon and Sarge took us back to our hotel where we

chatted, hugged and heard all about boot camp.  His liberty ended at 1900 and he was nervous about being late so we returned him at 1800.  He was "delivered" to Ohare at 0900 Saturday morning and we checked into the Hilton at the airport for our last night.  We meet our sailor, took the train to Chicago, visited Millennium Park and had lunch returning for some R& R before he had to catch his flight.  We were able to get gate passes and wait with our sailor unitl the last minute.  He looked good, felt proud, seemed confident to start A school.  A great experience for all of us.  Sarge was great, lots of good info at the Meet n Greet, met some Navy4 Moms gals in person and wouldn't have missed it.  Thanks to Great Lakes military and the community for being so welcoming.  HooYah!
