I got off the phone about 25 minutes ago with my boyfriend, we only got 8-12 minutes, though. (Not b/c he had to call anyone else, he had to leave as soon as he got off the phone with me). I wish we would have gotten more (so jealous of you ladies' I've seen with 40 minute calls!!) but it was great to talk to him, he laughed a few tymes, but didn't really have much to say, which I was surprised about. There was so much that slipped my mynd, as soon as I saw the "847" area code, my mynd went blank, and I started freaking out. I also somehow managed not to start crying until I hit the "end" button. I hope we get more letters and another call sometyme soon!! ♥
Letter today!!! Six big pages, front and back, it's the best one yet!!
He mentioned that he and his bunkmate are good friends, and they talk about their fiancees a lot =3
He talked A LOT about ironing duty, lol, as well as the inspections and such.
He can make his rack in 5 minutes, when others take 12, or something lyke that.
This letter has made me feel so great, I'd been wondering about some of the things, and this is just what I needed!!
I hope you all get letters soon!! ♥
Haven't heard from anyone in a while one here. How is every one doing?
Not much going on over here; no letters in 9 days (hoping for today, though).
Overall, just wondering what the heck's going on.
Hoping everyone's having a Happy Christmas season! ♥
Doing good. At my parents with the kids for Christmas. Been doing lots of retail therapy lol. That's okay I need some good outer wear for the trip up to Great Lakes. Hoping for a call even though I know I shouldn't, I just can't help myself. I hope you are all doing well. Almyraia, I hope you get a letter soon!
Just want to say hello to everyone. My son is also ship 09/div 045..It's Christmas day and I'm wondering what the recruits are doing today, while we spend the holidays with our families. We have booked our flight, and will soon book our lodging. Best to everyone.
Welcome 2ifbysea. I know they get some time off, but they get some time off every Sunday. So, I don't know if they get extra time or what. I just hope they are not miserable up there.
Hi 2ifbysea. Look forward to seeing you at PIR. No news is good news! It is tough to look at the pics of the other divisions but our guys are doing just fine! My arms ached to hug my son yesterday. I know yours did too. 25 days!
I agree joemama, my arms ached too to hug my baby boy as well. It was such a hard day and I just pray they all had a great meal. We had so many left overs since our son was not here to eat it all. We will be eating ham for weeks...lol...I'm still not used to grocery shopping for three instead of four. I guess when he comes home he will be happy with the overstocked pantry!HA! I just know I am so ready for this to be over and I know you all are too....but it's a new day and tomorrow is Tuesday Trivia so maybe one of us can win the photo for our division:)
