Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 071 and 072

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi all.  My son in on this ship.  He arrived at BC on 3 Dec from central NY and I have received his "box" and form letter.  Still waiting on a phone call...hope they earn it sooooon! He is going to be a Mineman (MN). What about everyone elses SR's?  I didn't realize this was an integrated unit, but some of you have daughters here as well I believe?

Oh and thank you ellen0502 for keeping us all organized :D

I do have a daughter there as well. She also arrived on Dec. 3. I received her box and last night received her form letter.  She will be a Corpsman.

Will be glad to connect with you all!

My son is on this ship. He is in Div 072.  We live in SW Florida and he arrived at BC on the evening of December 3.  Was surprised to get a phone call from him yesterday (Wednesday) around 11:00 A.M.  Sounded really good.  Said it is cold, but they are provided with warm gear.  Food is not that bad either.  Was so good to hear his voice and that he is coping well.

Thats great to hear!!!

My son arrived on 3 Dec from OK.  He is in the Nuke pipeline and is in Div 072.

My son is on this ship. He is in Div 072 from GA. He arrived there Dec 03. I have received the box as well as the form letter. He is going into Logistics.

Thanks again ellen0502 for all this great information.

My boyfriend is in the same division and we are from GA as well! Where in GA are you?

Hi all, my son is Ship 03 Div 071! Left from Grand Rapids MI Dec 3rd. I got my box and form letter too. Waiting on a call and a letter, have sent a few already!

His birthday is tomorrow. Missing him a lot!

Oh Denise, I will light my candle for his Birthday and hope he gets to call you!  Today was not an easy day for some reason...my poor husband can't figure out what's the matter with me when I just overflow in tears for seemingly no reason :(  God bless our sons and daughters <3

Thank you Shelly! I am crossing my fingers but not getting my hopes up to high! =)

Shelly I forgot to reply back to you! I did get a call on his birthday! It was awesome. Haven't heard from him in awhile though now!

Hi Denise. That's terrific he called then. You didn't get a call this past week for Christmas?
