Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 067 and 068
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

I got 3 letters today! All written within 10 days of each other so they were held for a bit. I hear our divisions are getting a phone call due to great scores! So happy for them that they are all doing so well:) My phone is on the charger just in case he calls, don't want the battery to die mid conversation.
I sure hope you get your phone call soon! the whole division got a hour each to call so I am sure you will be getting a call soon if you haven't already. so proud of them all!!
I got a call this afternoon from my nephew and so did his grandma! He said they got fitted for dress blues this week which he said was "rad". Sounds like they are all doing well! So proud of the division!
got a call earlier from my son, he sounds so good, though he is sick, said things are going around, his throat hurts and his sinuses are messed up, his sinuses have been since he got there, so he drank hot water with lemon this morning and is going to drink hot tea and lemon and honey next meal. He did mention that his bunk mate said they may not get to go thru the gas chamber, but I don't think that is right, that is a major part of BC, and my son wants to go thru so his sinuses will get cleared out! LOL
he also said they had a fun PT the other day and he just is so happy, they are getting ready for more inspections and another test.
hope you all get calls today as well! he did say they might get to call on Christmas but not to count on it, depends on how things are going. this week will be the half way point for them!!
soon we will all get to meet at the meet and greet and then get to hug our SR's and spend time with them.
anyone else have a SR that is staying there at GL for A school?
Our daughter will be staying in Great Lakes for A School Joni. She mentioned not doing the marlinspike today when she called but nothing about the gas chamber. She is NOT happy about the three days this week they will have no training because of the holiday. She said she has sat around and/or cleaned enough when they were waiting for the division to fill and then again on Thanksgiving. She is ready to get the show on the road! Every time she calls she sounds stronger and more confident. I am so happy about that. She has wanted to be in the Navy for so long I am ecstatic that she is living her dream.
I'm looking forward to putting some faces with y'alls screen names at the meet and greet!
I think all this down time is making them Sad!
My Son (Sr) is staying in GL for A school also!
ship 11 div 068 here! Where is everyone staying for graduation??
We are staying at America's Best Value. We needed 2 connecting rooms and they had the best rate. We are still trying to decide on whether we want to rent a car at 16.00 a day or pay for the transport to and from the hotel at 159.00 round trip. I am afraid to drive in the ice and snow since we are from Florida, but this trip is costing me a fortune already. I need to trim it down somewhere.
Thank you! I think we will monitor the weather and see what is anticipated a week before we travel and then decide. We are flying to and from Milwaukee, so it is a little more expensive with Sarge. What part of Florida are you from? We are right next to the strawberry capital of the world, Plant City lol
