Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 073 and 074

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

This is the division and ship my awesome SR is attached to.  Just found his phone card in our copier.  He copied it for me so I could add minutes.  Thank goodness we haven't gotten close to the time where we could possibly get a phone call.  Sure would love a letter.

my son is in division 073 / ship 14 ..... just got my letter today..... so happy ..... :))  Pleased to meet you!!!

hi, got my letter today:))  my son is on ship 14 / division 073..... who else has SRs here:)))   I am ecstatic!!!

Which letter did you get the form letter or a letter from your SR?  Good to meet you too.

What have all of you moms done to deal with your SRs being gone.  Thought I was going to melt into a puddle of tears.  Then I decided to teach myself something new.  So I taught myself how to crochet.  I am a jewelry designer by trade, but couldn't even sit down and work at my usual because sitting there just reminded me of my SR.  So for the last week and a half I have changed my schedule around and sat and crocheted.  Because my brain had to do something different I found that I distracted myself.  Now I am feeling more at ease.  So if you are still having a rough time try to teach yourself something new.  You will be proud of your SR and yourself!

Are you going to school?  Good for you.  I used to do cross stitch, It just seemed to take to long to finish a project.  I know how hard it is to let your man go, but realize that this is for the both of you.  My son also left his girlfriend behind.  She is getting ready to start back to school.  It will be over before you know it.  Be proud of your man.  Be proud to be the girlfriend of such a wonderful guy.

My son is in div. 074, ship 14---- nice to meet you all! It's the end of week two, still incredibly hard for me! Okay during the work week but weekends just stink!

I know.  Try changing up what you are doing.  Find something to work on that is totally different.  I found that teaching myself something completely new helped a lot.  I taught myself how to crochet.  I worked on a stuffed snowman for my son's girlfriend.  I made it into a Navy snowman and I had to concentrate on it and not that my son isn't here.  I also changed up my christmas tree.  I did it totally in red white and blue so I had to put my brain in a different mode.  Fortunately our SRs are focusing on completely different things, not so easy for the families waiting at home.  Do something for yourself, you will be better for it and your son will be proud of you for the way you were able to handle the separation so well.  I'm with ya.  I hope we can all meet each other at the PIR.  Love to all the families of our SRs.

gosh, how well, I understand that :)  the weekends are especially hard.... I did get a call today tho and that was awesome... it was really short and he sounded so tired..... so of course, delighted and worried all at the same time

Today is the day to get the question!!!! Running out of time to win.

Hello all. I'm Bobbi my son Nick is also on ship 14 div 073! Has anyone gotten a call from their kids yet? It's killing me not to talk to him, several moms from other ships have gotten calls today. We also have a FB navy moms group if anyone is interested, it's been wonderful to meet and chat with others that understand what we are goin thru. My FB name in bobbi Jo Bohr-kenny, please feel free to ad me and I would love to ad you to our group.

My son is Ship 14 Div 74.  Just got a call from him today...SO SURPRISED!  Said he got permission because he was named "Master-At-Arms"?!? Not exactly sure what that means, but it seems like he's doing pretty well... He sounds wonderful and terrible....he has an awful cold...but said he's good.....the call only lasted 2 1/2 minutes, but it made me & his father so happy!
