For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I'm usually on this site on my phone and for some reason my phone won't let me reply to these discussions but the general ones, it does (like the PIR discussion). I'm surprised there aren't any other moms from this same division on here. So far I this I've only seen us from 7/51. Theres one person from the brother division but thats it. Well, I didn't get a letter today and I'm sure it won't be here tomorrow either. We are just so far away I bed it won't happen until Saturday. It really helps that you received mail because now I know their letters were finally sent. Makes me so happy! :)

I've gone onto US Navy Recruit Training Command on Facebook and there are two girlfriends of men in our boys' division. One of them said the boys (men) are all getting along really well. I asked RTC if i would hear anything about my sons results and they said that I likely wouldn't get a call just to say everything is a-okay with him so in other words, "In the Navy, no news is good news". I guess I will keep writing him and wait to hear via letter from him as to what the test results were. I guess it's a good thing that we still haven't gotten the "I'm coming home" phone call! I would think if it was something they couldn't work with, we would have gotten that call already. Don't get me wrong, I want to see him but I want that to be at PIR! Hanging in there! :)

The internet really makes this a super small world! It helps so much to connect on these sites. One of the girls said her boyfriend was upset that another kid got 20 letters on the first mail day. My son got 21 so I think it was him. It made me feel really good! :) Yes, counting down the days to PIR and hoping we don't get the "I'm coming home" call due to test results. Been home sick for 2 days so I know I haven't missed any calls with the portable and my cell at my side at all times! So far so good! I saw you are attending Sarge's Meet & Greet. Can't wait to finally put a face to all the names on here! :)

Got the phone call!! He sounds so good, but it makes us miss him even more!! Probably wont hear from him again before Christmas but it was awesome to get it! He had an hour to talk so half to us, half to his girlfriend!! He still loves it!

Unfortunately it's down to just two now! As you know my SR is now in Ship 5 and soon to be coming home. I don't know how to feel right now, still a little numb, but oh so excited to see him and so VERY proud of him! I've missed him so much and so happy that nothing is too serious. Only 2-3 more short weeks for me and just 27 days for you ladies! Hang in there and please tell your SRs thank you for me!
