Looking to connect with anyone else who has a loved one on the same ship as my son.  I got a call from him today - I WAS SO HAPPY TO HEAR FROM HIM.  He needed information for his security clearance stuff so it was a quick conversation but I don't care.  It was just nice to hear his voice.  He sounded very tired but upbeat if that makes sense.

My son is 07/064. Looking for other parents to communicate with during the longest 8 weeks of our lives!

It has been a long few weeks hasn't it?  I have to admit I was a little melancholy during Christmas.  I am now looking forward to hearing from him, hopefully a letter this week - or a call after their 3rd full week of training.  Are you planning on going to the meet and greet functions?  We booked a room Thursday through Sunday in hopes that my son will have extra time after PIR before he ships to his A school.  Nice to meet you bfive
