Received my form letter yesterday (Dec. 17).  He says everything is going well and he already see the changes in himself.  So proud but sure do miss him!

Anyone else?

Haven't gotten my letter yet. Hoping for it soon! Mine is ship 11 div 062 as well :)

My son is also Ship 11 Div 62. He scribbled a few words on the back of the form letter and all he said was "Dad was right, bootcamp is hard..." . I had been doing quite well until I read those words and it all broke loose ...

My last cry was when the Navy sent my son home in a box but forgot to put him in it!  Getting those clothes was really hard!  Hope you are doing ok now.

Yes, it was really hard to see the box sitting by the door when I got home from work. I feel better now though I finally got a letter last week. It was good to hear he is doing okay. Says this division is great.

Hi Ladies,

I'm confused....Hopefully someone can help me... My son shipped the 8th and today we received his form letter.  He's ship 11 Div 067, on the form letter (we received today) he put graduation is Feb 12th, 2012...which is a Sunday...do you guys think this is a mistake?  no note from him but he sure had very good hand writing.  Hope someone can help.

Hi Kitty.. I am pretty sure that they have only 1 PIR per week and most of the time it is on Friday which is the 10th.

I am brand new to this..still trying to figure this site out, but my boyfriend is Ship 11 Div 062. His parents got his form letter Dec. 16th and immediately told me his address. I've written a letter every day since. We've been living together for almost 2 yrs, and this is a really hard transition for me but I was sooo excited when I finally got to write to him. Hoping for a letter back soon!!

Hey! My husband is giving out all the letters to the husbands/sons in division 62! I think its neat, he is really excited about it. He said it has made him popular and now everyone is going to him for questions, doesn't help that he is older. Its so good to finally hear from him!

Anyway, for those with sons/hubby in my group. My SR has been making friends with your boys and written me some fun things they have had a chance to sneak in :)

wow that's great to hear! definitely neat that he's in charge of letters...did you just get first actual letter today? i'm still waiting on mine. do you happen to know how many are in the division??

Yea, there are 84 that started out in their division. A few guys have already dropped out. He wrote the names of about 5 guys he has made friends with so far and one he pulled a prank on. :) You should get your letter soon... they were not allowed to send anything until after this past Sunday on 12/18/11 (from my understanding) and in the letter he informed me it can take between 5-10 days to get their mail and they can only send it out once a week.

thank you! i just read my first letter. one of the things he said is he's never folded so many clothes in his life haha. and yes..the letter was dated 12/18/11.
