Hey! Looking for people who have loved ones in my boyfriend's division!

Hi! My son is also in this division. I believe there's about 90 sailors in DIV 912.
He was in jrotc in high school. When he last called he said they made him a squad leader.

That's cool! What does a squad leader do?

Since it's a performance division, what do your children do? My boyfriend plays trumpet.

My son played trumpet in HS, & was in marching band.... Wonder if that's what he will be doing...?

My daughter is also in his division.

Hmmm she must do flags or rifles then. I don't really understand how people are chosen for those spots either.

My daughter said that they put her in this div because she was the right height for flags!  and because of her

high ASFAB score.

Has anyone gotten any real letters yet?

Hi, My son Patrick in in (Ship 02 Div 912) also.  We have received 3 letters from our son and many of our friends and relatives also received letters, but it took a while.  We got two on Friday, December 30 and then we got one this past Friday, January, 6th.  But our biggest surprise was our phone call we got from Patrick(our sailor) @6:00 Friday, the 6th.  I felt like I hit the lottery being home to receive the phone call.  He said they were not allowed to call on Christmas because Men were talking in line.  (He said it is like Jr. High) All is good there though.  He is already appreciative of his family and misses us.  He has also gone to church on his own and said he found it peacefull and now get the meaning of going to church.  For this we are thankful.  We got to talk to him for about 45 minutes, we were thrilled.  I hope you all get your phone calls soon if you haven't already.  Lisa

Hi, my daughter is also in this division.  I haven't heard from her but just found out that this division is a performing division so I think she is too busy with her duties and practices that she doesn't have time to write.  Hope to hear from her soon.  Can't wait for graduation.

Hi, I haven't heard from my daughter either I hope she's OK and your right they are being kept busy from the

moment they get up I'm sure.  I was hoping to hear from her X-Mas but didn't Oh well. We also can't wait for

graduation too!
