My son is in SHIP 12, DIV 085. I've seen SHIP 12, DIV 083, 084, AND 086, but no 085. I would like to meet anyone that has a soldier in DIV 085. I am the only one in the family that will be attending PIR on Feb 12th. In fact I'll be flying in to O'Hare Wed, Feb 10th and staying at the North Chicago Days Inn on US 41. I've never been on a plane before ( little nervous) and I've, believe it or not, never been out of Calif. except to Reno twice.

Im sorry your family is giving you a hard time. My mom is okay with it, she was a Navy wife, but all my grandma keeps saying is "you're taking my babies from me." She formed a really close bond with my oldest after my grandfather died, and she's pretty upset that we're moving. But tickets to Chicago aren't that expensive and she is more than welcome to come visit whenever.

I've just had to tell her that as much as we don't want to move, I need to be with my husband and the girls need to be with their dad. Family will get over it eventually once they realize that you're doing what is best for your family.
You are right. I'm on the other end. It's my kids moving away. BUT, they have to do what's right for them.
Good luck and God bless all of you young families. It will be an interesting life, I'm sure, being a navy family. But, I bet it will be a great one!
Cricket- I get the same thing from my family, our baby is my mom's only grandchild so far. My mom is a basket case just knowing we are going there for graduation. I just told everyone they can come visit, it's not like we still won't talk everyday and have a web cam. It is pretty hard, but will all be worth it. They will understand sooner or later. I try not to talk to them about it because I just get the" fine move away we won't ever see you" I wish they understood.
Hi there, I am going to try to get to the Meet and Greet. Where are you going to be staying? I will be at the Days Inn on Hwy 41. It is about 1.3 miles from the base. What time are you arriving at O'Hare? My plane is suppose to be arriving about 12:15pm. I Have a taxi reservation from O'Hare to my motel, if you what to share.
Hi, We are staying at Ramada Inn, we get into O'Hare around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Are you flying in Thurs?
Does anyone know if this division has BS starting tonight? Or does it start tomorrow night?
Hello everyone, someone asked about BS it starts on the 4th for 085.
Good news they Passed Battlestations it was thurs night. Husband said they were up from 5:30 Thurs am and get to sleep tonight around 8pm. Whew now we can relax for graduation next week.
My son said their score was awesome!! They really pulled together well and did an outstanding job. Congratulations to all of them! They deserved a good night's rest last night. Hope they got it before Captain's Cup today.
