~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

my husband is Ship 13 Div 94, he mentioned his friends in his last letter, I will post the first 3 letters of the last name, maybe it's your SR...Cos, Bas, Jus, Cat, Tar, Ada, Ree, Han, Wei, Pea, these are just the ones he mentioned
I got a letter today I feel as if I am stalking the mailman every Thursday he sounded good and we are on the downside of this now He was very excited about helping with flag design and making. Ship 13 Div 093
I got 2 letters today :) my husband said that they judge their days by the meals, he said that they keep time by waiting for the next meal haha, he said it makes the days go by faster..he said that they are pretty much busy from 4:30am-10pm, he did say that they had less time to write on Sunday because they were getting their uniforms ready for inspection and it sounds like they are busier now..I hope everyone gets mail today or tomorrow! Ship 13 Div 94
I do have a female, but she is not a writer either, loves the computer though. got a letter today and she is feeling better.

Carol65. Funny you would bring up the gender thing. When I mentioned at work that some moms seemed to be getting letters her comment was "they probably have girls :) But when I just walked in from work I found two letters! ! Looks like one was delayed about a week. He sounds good .
Centex, I got a letter today today, my SR sounds great, says things are going well in their division, by time I would be reading the letter he said he thinks they may have become "one". Some extra prayers and thoughts for the brother division, sounds like they still have a few more struggles to work out yet!! They will!! When my SR left he said he wouldn't need us to really write any letters, well I have written him almost every day despite what he thought and today's letter he really thanked me for them!!! They really need to hear from their loved ones!!!
Froggy: I have not heard the the hint on driving takes you far out of your way...yes, you drive past RTC about 1/2 a mile or so, but the car line is just sitting and you will be moving. I would think that when you turn left, you are going in the same way as the ones turning right from the other way are. But since you are not going to make the MeetandGreet, you could actually email Sarge about this. I'm sure he would be glad to clarify: johnspadaro@att.net
To add on to CatMom's post, we took the shuttle and it was great. I would do that again. If I were doing it again, I probably would book with Sarge for the PIR shuttle...more personal service! Didn't know about Sarge when I was up there 4 yrs ago.
Hmm well he said in his only hand written letter to us that he did not like to write so don't expect too many letter then he said in all caps YOU HAVE TO WRITE TO ME LOL. Which we do just about everyday. Yeah it's hard not hearing from them when we've heard they can write on Sunday's. He must be too pooped out at the end of the week or something....Eagle mom lucky you it must be a gender thing girls like to communicate
