Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Just making sure you all know that there was a photo of Division 092 posted on facbook today via RTC Great Lakes.  Hope some of you are able to pick out your SR's!

sportsc37, http://giordanos.com/our-locations/ this is famous Chicago style pizza! We eat there every time we visit!  The location in Gurnee is only about 15 minutes from the base.

Good Morning everyone,

Hope everyone and your SR's are having a Blessed Day!

Congrats to all the Recruits who have now become Sailors....

Recieved my first Letter from my SR, thought it was strange that I had not recieved one, But like everyone says "no news is good news". In his letter he stated he was in charge of Starboard Watch and that it why he could not write earlier, not really sure what that is but he was excited about it. When I see him I will him explain it more to me. lol! Our Hotel is booked, but we are driving up from OHIO.

This will be our first time in Chicago. Anyone have a good pizza shop they would recommend and where is it located?

I would just like to thank everyone again for their posts.  I learn something helpful or comforting every time I log on.  I have talked to my SR for just the quick call to say here and okay, then Sunday for about 10 minutes but I didn't get much information from him.  We received a short letter also-- hope to see another this weekend.

We have booked our flight and car, getting ready to check on rooms.  Keeping you and your SR's in my prayers.
