~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

no problem! Yea, I haven't paid for the flight either. I'm staying at the Navy Lodge. Im thinking i will take Southwest just in case (no change fees). But havent paid yet either. Will tomorrow! ^__^
thanks so much for the info. FYI, I have reserved my hotel for the PIR but not the flight yet. Cannot wait
The program is supposed to be 9 weeks. 8 weeks of training and 1 week of processing. But our SRs started on the 9th and are done on the 28th of the following month. I think it is just the way they did the scheduling. It just so happens that they left at a good time. That might explain the call 8 days in instead of 2 weeks in because due to the acceleration, they entered the base at the end of their first week. They essentially started their second week a few days upon arrival. Also, I dont normally comment either lol. But he told me this and I thought I should share, just like all those who were kind enough to keep me posted on things :D
My daughter is in 096. Is this group an accelerated program and what does that mean? I have not posted anything on here yet, but have took all the comments and information in. We have recieved a couple letters and phone calls, FYI
Dede, thanks for letting me know. My son is section leader for division (095). I didn't realize they were in the accelerated program.
Stace, from what I understand they are already half way through (Today is day 1 of week 3) and since our SRs are in the accelerated 6 week program, they are prepping them for battlestations. Also, he has the schedule and does admin work for his division (095) and told me he will get a call on 2/26...Those in that division, babysit your phones!! :D
I heard from my son last night. Sounded really tired, in good spirits though. He had severely chapped hands and had to get that taken care of. He called it a specific name, that I never heard of. He said that he did really well on his test. He also said that he will probably not be able to call for two weeks. Does anyone know the reason for that?
Good Morning!
Hi New Nuke mom! I missed my call from my son yesterday. :( I was working & he didn't remember the number. He did call his dad & made his dad's day! lol My son is doing well, too! Love hearing from him!!
