While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

ADVICE NEEDED - Thank you for the kind words regarding my son who is separated due to asthma. Here's the story...Three days before leaving for BC, my son was diagnosed with H1N1 and given Tamiflu and a doctor's statement. He immediately called his recruiter who asked if he was "puking" and my son said no. He told him he was to still report for MEPS three days later. So my son took the medicine as directed and rested. When we took him to his recruiter to leave, he was instructed not to mention the "flu" and to throw away the last day of meds when he arrived at MEPS. Everything at MEPS went well, we received the call, box, and form letter. Then I receive a call yesterday that I missed due to working and thanks to diannep, I found a phone number to try to contact my son or get information. They were kind enough to allow him to call me again and I spoke with him. He explained that he had shortness of breath during the running, told the officer and was sent to the hospital. There they gave him a pulminary test which he failed twice. He said he missed everyone and mentioned breaking down while in separation. He spoke of coming home and future plans. I think he is possibly stressing and maybe wasn't ready to leave for BC due to the H1N1. I'm concerned about his chances to appeal or possible reenlist. I'm going to try to reach him again. Any advice??? I really don't know what to do. :(

Ooops, 915/916 are brother divisions too! It is rare that two 900 divisions are in the same PIR group...so it is nice that with the 2 divisions, they have a brother division to go through with!
