Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

my son score badly on the asvab so they mad him take and English test and he failed so he had to go though 2 weeks of class learning everything about the navy.

Well it hasnt been to bad. We have gotten to talk to him for the past 2 weekend for about 30min each!! Do you know if the pass the "fast Class" do they have to take the test in Boot camp?

Lmcgoffin.... Congrats on your SR completing FAST.... my old shipmates son got to boot on the 5th and just completed FAST also.... Welcome back to training and on your way to PIR .... I know the additional time has made this journey a little rough... hang in there . my own Sailor spent an extra 7 weeks at RTC because he had stress fractures in his heelbones... so i know the extra wait is rough.. HOOYAH

Hello everyone! My son just joined this PIR date! He had to go through at "fast " class!! He has been there since Dec 5th!! I have been though some of the stuff if you have questions for me I would love to talk to anyone!! Thanks lori

CRAIG.... when we went thru PIR last year, there was a week of NO PIR seems like its ever so many weeks..
congrats on BOXES and LETTERS.... yes, mark off another FRIDAY.... PIR will be here before you know it.... NEXT MILESTONE..... A REAL LETTER FROM YOUR SR!!!

I just got the form letter! He graduates 3/1/13, a little note from Dylan on the side "I love u" So happy right. Waiting for the box. BTW the recruiter gave me the wrong address, so I dont know if he will get the letters we sent.

Felicia, No you will not sign for the form letter as it is sent by regular mail by the USPS. I do believe that I did have to sign for the "box" though.
